New Affordable Model Added to the Honda City 2024 Lineup, Still Equipped with Honda Sensing Safety System

The upgraded version of the Honda City has officially been launched in the Thai market in July 2023. After more than half a year, Honda has added a new standard equipment version for this model, called the 1.0 Turbo S CVT.

In the Thai market, the Honda City 1.0 Turbo S CVT is priced from only 599,000 Baht (about 408 million VND). Meanwhile, the remaining versions of this B-segment sedan range from 629,000 – 839,000 Baht (428 – 571 million VND).

As the cheapest version of the City line, the 1.0 Turbo S CVT has some slight changes in the exterior, such as 15-inch steel wheels with silver wheel covers, accompanied by 185/60 R15 tires. In addition, there is an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display and additional warning lights for rear passengers.

Especially, the Honda City 1.0 Turbo S CVT in the Thai market is also equipped with the active safety system Honda Sensing, including 6 features: Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Auto High-Beam Headlights (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (RDM), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Low-Speed Follow Traffic (LCDN). This standard version is also equipped with 4 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Automatic Door Lock when the key is away from the sensor area.

Despite being an affordable version, the Honda City 1.0 Turbo S CVT is not lacking the Honda Sensing system

The remaining equipment of the Honda City 1.0 Turbo S CVT is not different from the 1.0 Turbo V CVT version. The car also features a chrome radiator grille, Halogen headlights with automatic on/off function, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, electrically adjustable mirrors, turn signals on the front fenders, and a shark fin antenna painted in the same color as the body.

Inside the car, the new standard Honda City is equipped with amenities such as black fabric seats, 6-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, 4-way manually adjustable passenger seat, 4-way adjustable steering wheel with integrated function buttons, regular air conditioning, anti-glare rearview mirror, Bluetooth connectivity, 4-speaker audio system, 1 USB Type A port, and 1 power outlet.

Under the hood of the 1.0 Turbo S CVT version is a 3-cylinder, DOHC, turbocharged gasoline engine with a capacity of 1.0L, producing a maximum power of 122 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 173 Nm at 2,000 – 4,500 rpm. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive system.
