The 2025 Acura MDX features a more intuitive and user-friendly 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display compared to its predecessor. The new infotainment system also integrates Google apps, allowing users to access Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store. Users will also get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
In terms of technology, the luxury SUV is further equipped with the latest-generation AcuraLink connectivity system. Buyers will also find features such as a Wi-Fi hotspot, over-the-air updates, and connected features like remote lock/unlock and remote start.
The removal of the former True Touchpad Interface has allowed the 2025 Acura MDX to have a cleaner redesigned center console with increased storage capacity and a more accessible wireless smartphone charger.
The vehicle also benefits from an upgraded audio system. The standard version gets two additional speakers, while the 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system has seven more speakers than its predecessor.
On the exterior design front, notable changes include a revised grille and a sportier front bumper with prominent air intakes. The vehicle also gets darker headlights and taillights, along with a revised exterior paint color palette that now includes Canyon River Blue Metallic and Urban Gray Pearl.
Higher trims get the Technology Package, which includes new 20-inch wheels, along with a range of updates that aim to create a quieter cabin.
Keeping occupants safe, the vehicle gets a new camera and millimeter-wave radar system, allowing for improved detection and a wider field of view. It also has an improved blind-spot monitoring system. These are joined by Lane Departure Warning, Rear Seatbelt Reminder, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Under the hood, the vehicle retains the familiar 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine, producing a maximum of 355 horsepower and 479 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and the brand’s Super Treatment all-wheel-drive system.
The base variant gets a 3.5L V6 engine, delivering 290 horsepower and 362 Nm of torque. It also has a 10-speed automatic transmission, but all-wheel drive is optional.
The 2025 Acura MDX will arrive in U.S. dealerships next month with pricing yet to be announced.
