2025 Subaru Forester Gets a Hefty Price Bump, Starting at $29,695

Expected to arrive in U.S. showrooms later this year, every 2025 Forester trim sees a price increase over its predecessor, ranging from $1,700 to $2,630.

In the US, the 2025 Subaru Forester has a starting price of $29,695 (excluding destination fee), which is $2,600 more than the outgoing model. Meanwhile, the other trims of the new Subaru Forester will have an increase of $1,700 to $2,630, equating to a 5.6% to 8.3% increase.

The base trim comes with LED headlights, roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, it features analog gauges and a small 4.2-inch multi-information display. Furthermore, the Forester gets a dual 7-inch display and a 4-speaker sound system.

In addition, the base trim offers dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth seats with blue contrast stitching, and a hexagon pattern on the dashboard.

In terms of driver-assist features, the base 2025 Subaru Forester comes equipped with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and pre-collision braking. These are joined by a forward departure warning, a rearview camera, high beam assist, and a rear-seat reminder.

Moving up to the Forester Premium, which has a starting price of $31,995, adds features like rear privacy glass, illuminated vanity mirrors, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Additionally, the Forester Premium boasts LED fog lights, a panoramic sunroof, heated side mirrors, and windshield wiper de-icers. Notable upgrades inside the cabin include a 10-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, and wireless phone charging. These are joined by an 11.6-inch infotainment screen, a 6-speaker sound system, a more upscale instrument cluster, leather upholstery, and more.

Next in line is the Forester Sport, which has a starting price of $34,495. It stands out with copper accents on the exterior, 19-inch copper-painted alloy wheels, and black-painted roof rails.

The copper theme continues inside the cabin, where colorful accents are joined by unique floor mats, chrome door handles, and gray StarTex Sport seats. This model also gets a tuned suspension and paddle shifters. Buyers will also find additional safety features including blind-spot monitoring with lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency steering assist.

Stepping up to the Forester Limited, which carries a price tag of $35,995, users will get perforated leather-trimmed seats with power adjustments. The steering wheel gains heating, faux-wood accents, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, this model features stainless steel exhaust tips and a hands-free power rear liftgate.

The range-topping Forester Touring costs $39,995 and comes equipped with either black or brown perforated leather seats with suede inserts. The seats are heated and ventilated. Furthermore, this model receives a premium 11-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, unique floor mats, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

There’s also a digital rearview mirror, a surround-view monitor, automatic reverse braking, and a driver focus alert.

All 2025 Foresters are powered by a 2.5-liter engine producing 180 horsepower and 241 Nm (178 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a CVT and AWD.
