At the 2024 Bangkok Motor Show, GAC Aion Hyper HT has officially started taking deposits with an estimated price of around 1,999,900 baht (equivalent to 1.35 billion VND). GAC Aion Hyper HT is a mid-size SUV designed in a simple and elegant style. The car has been added with more features to suit family customers than Hyper GT and reduces the sportiness compared to Hyper SSR, which are cars in the Hyper Series.
GACAion Hyper HT has a length of 4,935 mm, a width of 1,920 mm, a height of 1,700 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,935 mm.
Standard equipment includes Wind Blade grille, Diamond Cut headlights, Horizon taillights, flush door handles. In addition, the car also has a panoramic sunroof, 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels.
The highlight of the Aion Hyper HT is the eye-catching gull-wing door mechanism for the rear seats. This design detail is reminiscent of the Tesla Model X. In China, the rear gull-wing doors are only available on some versions, but according to Thai media, this feature is expected to be standard equipment.
The cabin has a small digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, a touch screen for the infotainment system with a tablet-like design, and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. The center armrest area is designed to float, large storage space and 2 wireless chargers.
The seats have a massage function, integrated ventilation and heating systems, the rear seats have a good tilt angle, 2-layer sound insulation, the standard trunk capacity is 670 liters and can be increased to 1,802 liters when folding the rear seats down.
In the Chinese market, Aion Hyper HT has 4 powertrain options and all of them have rear-wheel drive configuration, one electric motor, with power ranging from 245-340 PS and a maximum operating range of 770 km.
GAC AION is reportedly preparing for market expansion in Southeast Asia and is likely to launch in Vietnam in Q2/2024.
