The National Traffic Safety Committee, Ministry of Education and Training & Honda Vietnam Company continue to sign the Cooperation Program “Road Safety Education for Students” for the period 2023 – 2026 on September 15th, 2023. The program aims to effectively implement tasks and solutions in ensuring order and traffic safety for students, contributing to accelerating the realization of the Government’s vision to 2045 “NO fatalities due to road traffic accidents” as well as Honda’s global target of “NO fatalities due to Honda Motorcycle and Automobile traffic collisions” by 2050.
Within the framework of the program, the parties agreed to develop a plan to organize a seminar on strengthening the role of traffic safety management in schools for high school levels. The seminar aims to improve the effectiveness of traffic safety propaganda, dissemination, education, and traffic safety skills, and to build a traffic culture in schools.

Accordingly, on the afternoon of March 27th, 2024, the seminar was successfully organized with the participation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi – Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Mr. Khuat Viet Hung – Deputy Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee, and Ms. Do Thu Hoang – Deputy Director General of Honda Vietnam Company, and 220 management staff of the secondary education sector, staff of the Traffic Safety Board and Traffic Police Department of 29 provinces/cities nationwide.

At the seminar, the parties shared the current status of traffic safety, conveyed the message about the role and responsibility in traffic safety training in schools, proposed and recommended that management agencies establish and complete plans to ensure traffic safety in schools for students, strengthen traffic safety skills; At the same time, introducing a pilot program to train knowledge of the law and skills in driving motorbikes and electric motorbikes safely for students at high schools.
