The A-SUV segment in Vietnam has been heating up again with the first shot being the Toyota Raize, followed by the KIA Sonet, which was launched almost immediately and quickly attracted customers, becoming the leading model in the segment. The success of the Sonet has even overshadowed its sibling, the Seltos. In December 2023, Hyundai Venue is the latest name from the Hyundai Thanh Cong family to join the fray, making the “A-SUV” segment battle more exciting than ever.

Exterior inherits from its elder brother

Overall, the exterior of the Hyundai Venue looks like a “mini Palisade” because of its very similar design, especially the front end with a large grille shaped like a Cascading Grill in the Parametric Dynamic style. The car has overall dimensions of length x width x height of 3,995 x 1,770 x 1,645 (mm) and a ground clearance of 195mm.

However, the Venue also creates its own distinct impression with the oval-shaped LED daytime running lights, surrounding the LED-Projector headlights. The turn signals are located above, slightly regrettably when they only use halogen technology.

Moving to the sides, the Hyundai Venue exudes dynamism with the slightly sloping roofline, while accentuating with the high roof rails. The entire body is embossed with straight lines, emphasizing the youthful and dynamic style.

The Hyundai Venue’s entire chassis is placed on a set of 16-inch, 5-spoke dual-tone wheels, with tires with the parameters 215/60R16. The car is equipped with a pair of side mirrors with folding, electric adjustment and integrated turn signals.

The most prominent feature of the rear of the car is the rear light cluster that is connected according to the current trend. This design is also influenced by Hyundai electric cars with pixel square details.

A suitable choice for Vietnamese customers

Unlike the exterior design, the Venue’s interior creates a distinct impression compared to its elder brother, the Palisade, with the cabin using a predominantly black interior tone to create a “clean” and pleasing look.

Stepping into the cockpit, customers will be impressed with the 8-inch entertainment screen that meets the entertainment needs well. The Hyundai Venue uses a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a design quite similar to Audi models, with many convenient buttons. Right behind is the instrument cluster integrated with a digital screen similar to the Venue or Stargazer. Leather and fabric seats, a sunroof are highlights of the Venue’s interior that easily convince young customers.

The Hyundai Venue has a 2,500 mm long wheelbase, but is well-optimized to create a fairly spacious legroom for the rear seats. In order to help passengers feel relaxed and comfortable, the rear seats are equipped with three headrests, an armrest, and separate air vents. In addition, uniquely in the popular car segment, the rear seats of the car are also equipped with Type-C charging ports.

The Hyundai Venue is also equipped with a remote start feature, suitable for operating conditions in Vietnam that are hot and humid, with plenty of sunshine. Cruise Control and speed limiters are also equipped with the vehicle.

The Hyundai Venue distributes 2 versions, both using the I3 Kappa 1.0 Turbo GDI engine for a maximum capacity of 120 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, maximum torque of 172Nm at 1,500 ~ 4,000 rpm.

The standard version costs 539 million VND. The Venue standard version uses only bi-halogen lamps, regular taillights, mechanical air conditioning, no Cruise Control, only two airbags… The special version is slightly better with the LED lighting system, Cruise Control, automatic air conditioning, sunroof, 6 airbags, priced at 579 million VND.

In general, the standard Hyundai Venue is the sufficient choice for normal needs. In terms of convenience, the Venue Special is considered the most reasonable version. Both versions meet the outstanding strong operating capacity in the segment, deserving the name “Mini Palisade” of the Venue.
