Mitsubishi Continues Dominance in Vietnamese Auto Market with Top Sales

According to recently released sales data for the month ending March 2024, Mitsubishi Xpander secured the top spot in the Vietnamese market with an impressive 1,582 units sold. Meanwhile, the newly-introduced Xforce recorded sales of 1,334 units, placing it third among best-selling vehicles.

Compared to February 2024, Xpander sales witnessed a significant surge of 150%. This once again demonstrates Xpander’s undisputed position as the reigning king of the MPV segment in Vietnam.

Boasting a winning combination of superior design, exceptional performance, advanced features, and an attractive price point, the Mitsubishi Xpander has earned rave reviews from experts and is widely regarded as the leading all-around MPV, offering the ideal solution for Vietnamese families.

When stacked against rival models in its category, Xpander shines with its modern exterior design, spacious interior with comfortable 7-seater seating to accommodate family needs, class-leading ground clearance for versatile off-road performance, a robust and stable suspension system for an enhanced driving experience on all terrains, remarkable fuel efficiency, and a competitive price that aligns with the budget of many Vietnamese consumers.

Mitsubishi Xpander is currently available in four variants in Vietnam: MT, AT, AT Premium, and Xpander Cross, all powered by a 1.5L engine. Prices range from 560 to 658 million VND, with the Xpander Cross priced at 698 million VND. For the month of April, Xpander buyers benefit from a 50% reduction in registration fees and various other incentives.

Building on the success of its predecessor, the Mitsubishi Xforce has also achieved impressive sales numbers, promising to be a formidable contender in its segment. Launched in the Vietnamese market in January 2024, with initial deliveries commencing in early March, Xforce has swiftly made a mark with its exceptional sales performance, breaking into the top 10 best-selling vehicles in the country.

Xforce’s strong sales right from its market entry come as no surprise, as Mitsubishi’s B-SUV boasts a superior design, an array of features, and a competitive price point within its segment, earning high praise from experts and consumers alike.

In Vietnam, the Mitsubishi Xforce is offered in four variants: GLX, Exceed, Premium, and Ultimate. The first three variants are priced between 559 and 680 million VND. The pricing for the top-of-the-line Ultimate variant has yet to be announced.

Mitsubishi Xforce captivates with its sleek, modern, and rugged design, embodying the essence of a traditional SUV. Its amenities list is equally impressive, featuring a large 12.3-inch infotainment screen paired with an 8-inch digital driver’s display for an intuitive interface.

Uniquely, the Xforce comes equipped with a Driver Score function, helping users understand and maintain safe and fuel-efficient driving habits. Additionally, for the first time, the Xforce features a Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system, the result of a collaboration between Mitsubishi Motors and the Yamaha Corporation. This 8-speaker sound system includes tweeters located on each side of the A-pillars, woofers in the front doors, and coaxial speakers in the rear doors.

Other notable features include a power tailgate with hands-free open/close functionality, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear ventilation with Max Cool function, and nanoeâ„¢X air purification.

The Xforce is powered by a 1.5L MIVEC engine paired with a CVT transmission, delivering responsive and smooth acceleration while optimizing fuel economy.
