Caught in a black and white camouflage wrap, the electric sedan follows the EQE and EQS in adopting a slippery, somewhat generic design. Details are tough to make out, but there appears to be a tall center air intake and placeholder headlights that give off a pre-facelift Tesla Model 3 vibe.
A bulbous nose gives way to a relatively short hood and a rakish windshield. We can also see a rather generous wheelbase as well as a long sloping roofline that incorporates a panoramic glass roof. Wide hips that channel air toward an integrated rear spoiler connect the whole thing together. Flush door handles and small quarter windows round out the highlights.
Inside, we find a near vertical dashboard dominated by screens. The layout appears to be a more affordable version of the MBUX Hyperscreen as the displays appear to stretch the entire width of the cabin. Furthermore, it looks like the screens will be shared with the CLA EV, based on previous spy shots.
Outside of that, there isn’t much else to see, but the prototype features a three-spoke steering wheel, slim air vents and an in-cabin camera. The car also has a minimalist design, eschewing physical switchgear for the most part.
At this point, little else is known about the C-Class EV, but it will reportedly ride on the MB.EA platform, instead of the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) that will underpin the CLA. That suggests this could be a more advanced model, although specifics remain scarce for now.
