The Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Series II remains exclusive in Vietnam nearly a year after its launch, despite a price point that falls short of several other vehicles owned by the country's wealthiest individuals.

The number of super-luxury cars imported to Vietnam has decreased significantly since the private sector stopped importing cars and the impact of the global economy. Some cars, like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan belonging to the 2022 model, which is 100% new, are still being sold on the market after two years of arrival, or the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII valued at more than 60 billion VND after tax, also suffered the same fate.

While the Phantom VIII Series I had no less than 12 units brought to Vietnam, the upgraded version of the Phantom VIII (Series II) has so far only had one unit and was imported by a reputable private unit. This unit has previously brought in other rare and expensive car models such as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Mansory, Brabus G800, Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6, …

This Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Series II belongs to a tycoon in Hanoi and has appeared in the capital since mid-2023. According to Autodaily’s research, the value of the car is just under 20 billion VND because it enjoys tax incentives. This method is chosen by many tycoons who buy Phantom VIII. Up to now, there are only about 4 cars of this generation in Vietnam with white license plates with a value of over 60 billion VND.

Basically, the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Series II still retains the same appearance as the Series I with many soft, rounded lines but no less luxurious. The most significant change lies in the headlamp cluster with a new interface, replacing the surrounding daytime LED strip with a simple horizontal LED strip, and below it is a turn signal strip. The car has the option of an orange coachline.

The rear of the car remains unchanged with the 3D LED taillight cluster. The owner of the car did not buy the additional chrome muffler cover option, so the rear bumper is somewhat monotonous. The car belongs to the long wheelbase version (EWB), so the length × width × height dimensions are 5,982 × 2,018 × 1,656 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of up to 3,772 mm.

The wheels of the Phantom VIII Series II are entirely different from the Series I, with a 7-spoke design with a 22-inch size and a more youthful and modern style. Referring to the US market, this genuine wheel set costs up to more than 12,000 USD (equivalent to about 312 million VND). The brand logo on the hubcap always being in a stationary state is always a characteristic of Rolls-Royce.

Like the Phantom VIII Series I, the car still uses a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, producing a maximum capacity of 563 horsepower and 900 Nm of maximum torque, with a 4-wheel drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to that, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
