An exclusive driving experience for the community, the Subaru SATD Off-road event offers participants an exhilarating adventure with up to 10 different terrains and challenges. Attendees will be the first to get behind the wheel of the Subaru Forester and experience the all-new and unique obstacle courses.
At the slippery mud pit, drivers will test the exceptional capabilities of the Subaru Forester, thanks to the seamless combination of the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (SAWD) system, X-MODE, and Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), along with the advantage of 220mm of ground clearance, enabling the Forester to conquer muddy terrains. X-MODE and VDC allow the Forester to effortlessly navigate rough terrain, even when one wheel loses traction, preventing the vehicle from getting stuck.
On the uneven rumble strips, experience how the Forester effortlessly maneuvers through consecutive rumble strips, showcasing the impressive suspension, handling, and stability of the vehicle when navigating uneven surfaces. The independent suspension effectively absorbs impact forces, providing comfort, traction, and safety.
In the dual seesaw, drivers have a unique opportunity to witness the Subaru’s stability and balance as it navigates bumpy surfaces with challenging angles that could cause other SUVs to lose balance, tilt, or even tip over. Thanks to SAWD, X-MODE, and VDC, all four wheels of the Subaru Forester receive power and traction to maintain optimal grip, allowing it to effortlessly overcome sudden hazardous situations. This off-road capability is further enhanced by the stability and low center of gravity of the Boxer engine and the Subaru Global Platform that the Forester is built on.
The rocky road will test the controllability of the SAWD system, which will be immediately evident as the Subaru Forester tackles surfaces with low grip or unstable driving conditions. On uneven road surfaces, loose soil, or rocky roads with unstable and frequently changing surface characteristics, other vehicles may not receive sufficient traction and could get stuck.Â
The event is completely free for customers at Gamuda City, Yen So, Hanoi on Saturday and Sunday (13 & 14.04.2024) with limited driving sessions available..
