Working Together to Achieve a Road Safety Goal

In line with the government’s national road safety target of “ZERO road traffic fatalities” by 2045 and Honda’s global goal of “ZERO traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles” by 2050, HVN has been collaborating closely with the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Traffic Police Department – Ministry of Public Security, and Honda’s authorized motorcycle and automobile dealerships nationwide to promote and educate road safety to the public, especially children and young people, who are the future of our country.

In the academic year 2023-2024, over 24 million students received road safety training. Key road safety training programs include:

– The “I Love Vietnam” program for preschoolers has been implemented in 63 provinces and cities, fostering early road safety awareness among children;
– The “Road Safety for Children’s Smiles” program for primary school students nationwide;
– The “Road Safety for Tomorrow’s Smiles” program for secondary school students across the country;
– The program on disseminating road safety laws and providing safe motorcycle and moped riding skills for university students.

Throughout its 28-year history, HVN has consistently worked with government agencies to conduct road safety training for the Vietnamese people, particularly students, across the country. Through these road safety education programs, HVN hopes to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills for safe traffic participation, thereby reducing accidents and creating a safe and civilized traffic environment in Vietnam.
