After many leaks, Suzuki has introduced the Jimny model to the Vietnamese market, imported from Japan with prices of 789 million and 799 million VND corresponding to 1 paint color and 2 paint colors respectively.
The Suzuki Jimny is designed for off-road purposes, with a square shape similar to the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The chassis on the Suzuki Jimny is a ladder frame type made of high-strength steel and reinforced with two crossbars near the center of the chassis to form an X-shaped frame, along with two front and rear crossbeams, increasing rigidity by 1.5 times, avoiding the entire body twisting when going on bumpy roads.
The Jimny is equipped with Suzuki’s K15B engine with a capacity of 1.5L, with an output of only 101 horsepower and a torque of 130 Nm. This engine is combined with a 4-speed automatic transmission, along with the AllGrip Pro part-time four-wheel drive system with a low gear mode, capable of flexibly switching between 1 and 2 gears, increasing grip on bad road conditions.
In addition, the Jimny is also designed with a 210mm ground clearance, approach angle, ramp angle and departure angle of 37, 28 and 49 degrees respectively, allowing the car to move flexibly on all difficult terrain or steep slopes. With an impressive minimum turning radius of only 4.9 meters, the Jimny can easily maneuver in narrow roads or in parking lots, suitable for Vietnamese road conditions.
In terms of equipment, the car is equipped with the Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with a 9-inch HD screen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Arkamys audio, 6 airbags, limited-slip differential, hill-start assist, rear camera, ABS anti-lock braking and EBD brake force distribution. Mechanically adjustable seats, 4-way adjustable driver’s seat, the steering wheel has a design similar to other Suzuki models.
