Tesla Thailand has teased that the Cybertruck will make its official debut in the country this coming Saturday, April 6, at Tesla Center Ramkhamhaeng in Bangkok. At the upcoming Tesla Cybertruck launch event in Thailand, attendees will have the chance to win exquisite prizes, while there will also be special promotions for the Model 3 and Y. With the Tesla Cybertruck landing in the Thai market, it is hoped that the pickup will soon be introduced to Vietnam in the near future as well.

Earlier, in December 2023, Tesla had announced the pricing, specifications and operating range of the Cybertruck in the US market. The Tesla Cybertruck is available in 3 variants. Among these, the version with a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive is priced from USD 60,990. This base version can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in about 6.7 seconds.

The dual-motor electric version with all-wheel drive, priced at USD 79,990, has a 600 horsepower and a 1,000 Nm torque. This version can run for about 545 km on a single charge, much lower than the 805 km that was announced earlier, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 180 km/h. The commercial version of the Cybertruck can tow a weight of almost 5 tons and carry over 1.1 tons of cargo on its rear bed, which is over 1.8 meters long.

Tesla calls the top-end version the Cyberbeast which costs USD 99,990, boasts 845 horsepower and a torque of 10,296 lb-ft (again, at the wheels). The electric pickup truck has an acceleration of 0-96 km/h in 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h.

Despite its unusual design, Tesla says this truck has a very low drag coefficient of 0.335. It is interesting to note that the Rivian R1T has a lower coefficient of 0.30. The Cybertruck features 35-inch off-road tyres and has a ground clearance of up to 17 inches. Other features include a rear differential lock, drive-by-wire steering system and rear-wheel steering, allowing for tighter turning circles than the Model S. This is also the first vehicle to feature a 24-volt electrical architecture, as opposed to the standard 12-volt.
