Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor 2024 Subcompact SUV debuts, starting at 230 million VND

Toyota has officially unveiled the 2024 Urban Cruiser Hyryder in the Indian market. The car will compete with rivals in the compact SUV segment such as the Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and more.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor 2024 measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, 1,550 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,520 mm. The car is offered with three engine options, including a 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine that produces 89 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission with front-wheel drive.

Next is a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 99 horsepower and 147.6 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Finally, there’s a 1.2L compressed natural gas (CNG) engine version that delivers 76 horsepower and 98.5 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

In terms of design, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor 2024 has a styling that is quite similar to the Suzuki Fronx, but Toyota has made some changes to differentiate its SUV. Specifically, the car has more eye-catching LED daytime running lights. The hexagonal grille with honeycomb patterns is painted in glossy black. Around the back, the LED taillights have received minor changes.

Moving inside, the cabin of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor has a design similar to its sibling, the Suzuki Fronx, and only changes the logo on the steering wheel. The car is equipped with a 7-inch or 9-inch touchscreen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

A black and maroon interior theme comes as standard across all Urban Cruiser Taisor variants. In addition, the car also has upholstered seats, keyless entry, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, 16-inch alloy wheels, hill-start assist, reverse sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and dual airbags.

Higher variants will receive features such as LED headlights, side and curtain airbags, a HUD, a 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, six speakers, wireless charging, cruise control, and rear AC vents.

In the Indian market, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor 2024 has a starting price of 773,500 rupees (equivalent to 230 million VND).
