TC Motor has just adjusted Hyundai Creta’s selling price down to VND 599 million, the same price as the “newbie” Mitsubishi Xforce – a model that also had its price changed a few days ago.

So with a price of less than VND 600 million, what do these 2 models have that can attract customers against their rivals?

Mitsubishi Xforce spacious, Hyundai Creta convenient

Being in the B-class urban SUV segment, a difference in size of a few cm is also a contributing factor to passenger comfort inside the car. In terms of size, the representative from Mitsubishi has an advantage compared to its rival from Korea.

Specifically, the Mitsubishi Xforce GLX has overall measurements of 4,390 x 1,810 x 1,660 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Creta has specifications of 4,315 x 1,790 x 1,660 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. In addition, the Xforce GLX’s ground clearance reaches 219 mm, 19 mm higher than the Hyundai Creta Standard.

The standard version of the 2 models does not have much difference in exterior equipment, both have LED daytime running lights, rearview mirrors with integrated turn signals, 17-inch alloy wheels… However, the Xforce GLX and Creta Standard still have certain advantages when compared to their rivals. For example, the Xforce GLX has LED-Projector headlights, while the Creta Standard uses halogen-projector bulbs but has an automatic light on/off feature.

Stepping into the cabin, it is easy to see that the Hyundai Creta has an advantage in convenience with leather seats, a 10.25-inch central entertainment screen. The Mitsubishi Xforce is somewhat “lower” when it is only equipped with fabric seats, an 8-inch entertainment screen. Both representatives have the same equipment such as push-button start, electronic handbrake with automatic hold function…

Although it cannot be compared in terms of equipment, the Xforce still has its own strengths with a design with many storage compartments in both the front and rear rows. In addition, this is also a rare model in the segment that can adjust the backrest of the rear seats with 8 levels.

Engine, safety equipment comparable

Both Mitsubishi Xforce and Hyundai Creta share the same 1.5L gasoline engine configuration combined with a continuously variable automatic transmission. However, the same cylinder capacity does not mean that the power between the 2 models is similar.

For the Creta, the Smartstream G1.5 engine produces 113.4 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. The Mitsubishi model with the same 1.5L MIVEC engine produces 103.5 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. It can be seen that the pulling power of Creta and Xforce is not too different, but if at high speeds, the Hyundai Creta will have an advantage thanks to its higher horsepower of nearly 10 horsepower.

Safety equipment on standard models is only at a moderate level, both Hyundai Creta and Mitsubishi Xforce have the basic systems including ABS/EBD/BA, electronic balance, hill start assist, rear camera… The strength of the Xforce is that it has the AYC cornering support system and 4 airbags, while the Creta Standard is equipped with tire pressure sensors and rear parking sensors.

Which model is worth buying?

Overall, the Hyundai Creta Standard and Mitsubishi Xforce GLX are worthy choices for customers who are looking for a basic urban SUV and do not require too much equipment.

With its origin from Indonesia, the Xforce has a slight advantage over the Creta – a model that is currently assembled domestically. In addition, the Japanese factor also helps the Xforce quite a lot in the Vietnamese market. Perhaps the most outstanding feature of the Xforce compared to the Creta is the suspension system that has been developed based on terrain conditions suitable for Vietnam, so it gives a quite impressive sense of driving rigidity.

For the Hyundai Creta, this model will be the choice for those who like a B-class urban SUV with a more convenient and modern interior. In addition, at present, the actual selling price of the Creta is also about VND 40 million cheaper than the suggested price.
