Hyundai Sales Rebound in Vietnam in March 2024, No Model Tops 1,000 Units

Hyundai Sales Soar in March 2024

In March 2024, TC Group (TC Group) reported a significant increase in Hyundai car sales. Compared to February 2024, total sales surged by 123.4%, reaching 4,542 units. However, none of the Hyundai models surpassed the 1,000-unit mark in March 2024.

Accent remained Hyundai’s best-selling model, with 967 units sold in March, a 164.9% increase over February. Despite this growth, Accent couldn’t reclaim its position as the best-seller in the B-segment sedan category, falling behind its rival, Honda City.

Hyundai’s second best-seller was the Grand i10, with 598 units sold, a 127.3% increase. This maintained the Grand i10’s dominance as the best-selling A-segment car.

Hyundai Creta ranked third, with a 130.6% growth to 549 units sold. Unfortunately, the Hyundai Creta lost its position as the best-selling B-segment SUV to the newcomer, Mitsubishi Xforce.

Other Hyundai models also recorded impressive sales growth in March 2024. Tucson sales increased by 151.2% to 294 units, while Hyundai Custin grew by 123.6% to 284 units. The Hyundai Venue sold 264 units, a 79.5% increase. Hyundai Santa Fe sales rose by 95.4% to 258 units, and Hyundai Elantra and Palisade experienced growth rates of 96% and 131.9%, respectively. Hyundai Elantra and Palisade sales in March 2024 reached 149 and 109 units.

Hyundai Stargazer had no sales in March 2024 due to depleted inventory while awaiting the launch of the Stargazer X in the Vietnamese market.

Hyundai’s commercial vehicles achieved sales of 1,070 units in March 2024, a 129.6% increase. This included 30 units exported to overseas markets.

Hyundai Car Sales in Vietnam in March 2024 (units)

In the first quarter of 2024, Hyundai sold 10,144 units in Vietnam, a 31.1% decrease compared to the same period of 2023. However, with government support, new product introductions, and a recovering market, Hyundai is optimistic about increasing its sales in the coming quarters.
