Mitsubishi Xpander: 1,582 units

After a lackluster post-Tet period, Mitsubishi Xpander has regained its momentum with sales of 1,582 units in March 2024. Compared to the previous month, sales of the Mitsubishi model have increased by 146.8%. As a result, Mitsubishi Xpander has not only maintained its number one position in the MPV segment but has also reclaimed the title of “sales king” across the entire market from Ford Ranger.

Mitsubishi Xpander is currently available in four variants in Vietnam, with prices ranging from 560 to 698 million VND. The MT variant is assembled domestically, while the other three variants are imported whole units from Indonesia. Regardless of the variant, the vehicle uses a 1.5L, four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces a maximum power of 105 horsepower and a maximum torque of 141 Nm. The engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual transmission.

Suzuki XL7: 677 units

Suzuki XL7 once again surprised the market with its high sales in March 2024. Specifically, the Suzuki model sold 677 units, a 209.1% increase compared to the previous month, and ranked second in the MPV segment, surpassing even strong competitors like Toyota Veloz Cross and Honda BR-V.

XL7 is currently one of the most affordable MPV models in the Vietnamese market, with prices ranging from 599.9 to 639.9 million VND. For this price, customers get a small MPV with basic amenities and safety features. The heart of the Suzuki XL7 is a 1.5L, four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces a maximum power of 103 horsepower and a maximum torque of 138 Nm, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.

Toyota Veloz Cross: 569 units

March 2024 witnessed the rise of Toyota Veloz Cross thanks to sales of 569 units. Compared to the previous month, sales of this MPV model increased by a whopping 289.7%.

This result is partly due to the revised price policy that Toyota Vietnam implemented for Veloz Cross from March 2024. Accordingly, the listed price of this MPV model now starts from only 638 to 660 million VND, replacing the previous level of 658 to 698 million VND.
