Toyota Vietnam has just announced price adjustments for its two main car lines, the Vios and Veloz Cross. The new prices will apply to customers who purchase cars from March 1st.
For the Toyota Vios, the price has been reduced by at least 21 million VND and up to 47 million VND. Specifically, the E-MT version has a new price of 458 million VND, the E-CVT version is 488 million VND, and the top G version is 545 million VND.

The Veloz Cross MPV has also been adjusted in price, benefiting consumers on both the CVT and CVT Top versions. The Veloz Cross CVT has a new price of 638 million VND, a reduction of 20 million VND compared to before. The top CVT Top version is reduced by 38 million VND to 660 million VND.
The price adjustment from the beginning of the year shows that the Vietnamese automobile market this year promises to be quite difficult and there will be fierce competition, from promotional incentives to price reductions from the companies. This is easily seen as the Toyota Vios sold 653 units in January, a decrease of more than 58% compared to the previous month. Veloz Cross also recorded a decrease of more than 77% compared to December 2023, to 253 units.
With a new price reduction of up to nearly 50 million VND, the Toyota Vios will create considerable pressure on competitors such as the Hyundai Accent and Honda City. In the MPV segment, the Veloz Cross, with a price starting at 638 million VND, will have more opportunities against “newcomers” such as the Honda BR-V, Hyundai Custin, and the “king” Mitsubishi Xpander.
In addition to Toyota, the Japanese brand Mitsubishi has also just adjusted the price for the Xforce model, although this model has not yet been delivered to customers. The reduction of 19-21 million VND makes the Mitsubishi Xforce the cheapest SUV model in the B-segment, with a price starting from 599 million VND.
