VinFast Partners with Cho Tot to Offer Electric Vehicle Trade-In Program

According to the collaboration agreement between the two parties, from March 20 to May 1, 2024, customers who purchase VinFast electric scooters through the Cho Tot platform will receive discounts of up to 3 million VND depending on the vehicle model. Specifically, customers who purchase the Evo200/Evo200 Lite will receive a discount of 800,000 VND, while the Feliz S will receive a discount of 1,200,000 VND. The corresponding discounts for the Klara S (2022), Vento S, and Theon S models are 1,600,000 VND, 2,400,000 VND, and 3,000,000 VND, respectively.

In a move to remove barriers for customers and facilitate the transition to greener alternatives, Cho Tot will also help buy back customers’ old gasoline-powered scooters at competitive market prices, with a quick and convenient process that takes no more than two hours. Customers can sell their old gasoline-powered scooters to Cho Tot and simultaneously purchase a new VinFast electric scooter on the Cho Tot platform to maximize benefits through the attractive incentives offered by both parties.

In addition to the incentives offered under Cho Tot’s “Trade-In Old Gas Vehicles for New Electric Vehicles” program, customers who purchase VinFast electric scooters in March 2024 will also be eligible for additional discounts from VinFast, with a maximum value of up to 1.75 million VND. Specifically, for customers who opt for battery rental, VinFast will provide a complimentary two-month battery rental package for the Evo200, Evo200 Lite, and Feliz S models, three months for the Klara S (2022) model, and five months for the Vento S and Theon S models.

For customers who purchase vehicles with batteries included, VinFast will offer a corresponding price reduction on the list price for each vehicle model. Specifically, the Evo200, Evo200 Lite, and Feliz S will receive a discount of 700,000 VND; the Klara S (2022) will receive a discount of 1,050,000 VND; and the Vento S and Theon S will receive a discount of 1,750,000 VND. The program runs until March 31, 2024. Customers can also opt to finance their vehicle purchase through the Cake digital banking system if desired.

Speaking at the signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement, Nguyen Trong Tan, General Director of Cho Tot, said: “Electric vehicles are gradually becoming the choice of consumers seeking fuel efficiency, environmental friendliness, and economic effectiveness. Through our partnership with VinFast, supporting the transition to greener alternatives, we aim to provide customers with a convenient and secure experience when selling their used gasoline-powered vehicles to purchase new VinFast electric vehicles.”

Duong Thi Thu Trang, General Director of VinFast Vietnam Market, said: “I am delighted and confident that with the combined efforts of both parties and the support of consumers, the ‘Trade-In Old Gas Vehicles for New Electric Vehicles’ program will serve as a significant catalyst to break down barriers and create a strong incentive for Vietnamese people to switch to using VinFast’s environmentally friendly electric scooter models in the near future.”

Currently, with a driving range of up to 200 km per charge, a top speed of 90 km/h, advanced smart technologies, and significantly reduced operating costs, VinFast electric scooters are seen as an ideal replacement for traditional gasoline-powered scooters. By implementing the “Trade-In Old Gas Vehicles for New Electric Vehicles” program, VinFast and Cho Tot provide consumers with an optimal solution to overcome the obstacle of old gasoline-powered vehicles, making it easier to transition to smart, environmentally friendly electric scooter models.

By using VinFast electric scooters instead of gasoline-powered scooters, consumers not only contribute to reducing 0.375 kg of CO2 per kilometer traveled but also indirectly contribute funds to environmental protection activities, helping to create a sustainable green future. Specifically, for each electric scooter sold, VinFast will contribute 50,000 VND to the Vingroup Group’s Green Future Fund to support environmental initiatives.
