The Zeekr 009 is a full-size luxury electric MPV and significantly larger than the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire. It’s based on the bigger SEA1 platform and is essentially a sibling model to the Volvo EM90.
Measuring 5,209 mm long, 2,024 mm wide and 1,848 mm tall, the Zeekr 009 is 199 mm longer, 174 mm wider and 102 mm lower than the Alphard, while its 3,205 mm wheelbase is 205 mm longer.
The generous proportions not only give the Zeekr 009 a cavernous cabin but also make it a presence on the road. The front end is dominated by a large chrome-finished intelligent grille that can light up a la Rolls-Royce.
Step inside and you’re greeted by a six-seat configuration (including business class-style captain’s chairs in the second row) upholstered in premium Nappa leather.
Further emphasising the luxurious feel are amenities such as massaging function for the front and second row seats, a 20-speaker Yamaha sound system (including built-in headrest speakers for the driver and second row passengers) and dual-layer glass windows for both the second and third rows.
The cockpit features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.4-inch central touchscreen and a separate 15.6-inch ceiling-mounted display for second row occupants.
In China, all variants of the Zeekr 009 come with a dual-motor electric powertrain and all-wheel drive, developing a maximum of 544 PS and 686 Nm of torque. This enables the MPV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.
