Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu has relentlessly pursued numerous supercars and sports vehicles in the past few years, extending his automobile collection to include JDM vehicles, ranging from one-of-a-kind to mass-produced models. Recently, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage sports car has been added to this entrepreneur’s garage.
To our knowledge, this is already the third new-generation Aston Martin V8 Vantage car to join the Trung Nguyen Group Chairman’s fleet. The addition of this new sports car, painted in striking red, to Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu’s garage has certainly made his Aston Martin V8 Vantage collection more captivating, consisting of one standard car, one special edition, and one limited edition.
Standard Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Five years ago, automotive enthusiasts in Vietnam were abuzz when an Aston Martin V8 Vantage sports car was officially imported into the country. Since then, three additional variants of this car have emerged, with Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu owning three units and the remaining one being housed in the garage of business magnate Hoang Kim Khanh.
Even though he acquired the Aston Martin V8 Vantage sports car rather late, it has become a perfect addition to “Professor” Vu’s collection, completing his set. This particular Aston Martin V8 Vantage is painted in red with accents such as the front and rear bumpers finished in eye-catching yellow. Additionally, the original owner of the car, business tycoon Minh “Nhua,” had it further enhanced with the renowned Aston Martin Vantage AMR body kit.
This package makes the Aston Martin V8 Vantage sports car even more visually striking, featuring a front bumper with an oversized spoiler, the addition of side fins and side skirts to the front end of the vehicle, and a fixed rear spoiler. All these components are made entirely of carbon fiber, not only ensuring that the car’s weight increase is minimal but also creating a striking accent against the eye-catching red paint job.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is equipped with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of generating up to 510 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 685 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 5,000 rpm.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage’s internal combustion engine is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive system, enabling this car to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage has a top speed of 314 km/h.
Aston Martin V8 Vantage F1 Edition
The F1 Edition is the second Aston Martin V8 Vantage to join Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu’s collection. This model was officially purchased and is a special edition inspired by safety cars used in Formula 1 races. Consequently, only one unit of this car was imported into Vietnam.
Aston Martin exclusively offers three paint colors for the Vantage F1 Edition: Jet black, Lunar white, and Racing green. Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu opted for the green, a signature color for this car line. However, upon its arrival in his garage, the owner had the car repainted in a matte military green, making this Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition arguably one-of-a-kind globally.
In contrast to the standard Aston Martin V8 Vantage, the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition model exudes more angularity and character with its abundance of carbon fiber elements. The front end of the car features two sharp side fins, giving it a distinctive racing aesthetic. The Aston Martin logo is painted in black, while the owner retained the car’s original black racing stripes.
Additionally, the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition comes with multi-spoke, 21-inch alloy wheels with bespoke Pirelli P Zero tires. Complementing these wheels are eye-catching green brake calipers. The rear of the car boasts significant modifications, including the addition of an impressive spoiler and dual exhaust pipes. At top speeds of 313 km/h, the spoiler generates downforce equivalent to approximately 200 kg of weight on the road surface.
The Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition’s exterior is further distinguished by F1 Edition logos on the sides, adorned on glossy black carbon fiber wind panels. Stepping into the cabin, the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition impresses with its gray Alcantara-upholstered seats accented by lime yellow stripes. The remaining leather upholstery is also of the finest quality, with contrasting colors.
There are several notable differences in the interior of the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition compared to the standard version, such as the F1 Edition logos on the door sills and center console, along with additional lime yellow accents and carbon fiber trim, enhancing the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition’s distinctive character. In Vietnam, the price of the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition starts from 18.8 billion VND, excluding registration fees.
Aston Martin has also upgraded the power of the Vantage F1 Edition line. The 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine, manufactured by Mercedes-AMG, has been fine-tuned to deliver a maximum output of 528 horsepower, although the peak torque remains at
