In September, Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu will bring his supercar collection to the Gumball 3000 event, where he will showcase 18 exceptional vehicles out of nearly 700 cars. The fleet will feature three expensive supercars: the Ford GT, Ford GT Heritage Edition, and Bugatti Veyron, as well as a team of 15 Ferraris.
According to the owner, he currently possesses over 30 Ferrari supercars, and the number is set to increase. Recently, the Trung Nguyen Chairman acquired a Ferrari 488 Pista. In Vietnam, there is only one Ferrari 488 Pista coupe and three convertibles, with Mr. Vu being the only individual to own a pair.
This Ferrari 488 Pista is part of an impressive car collection belonging to a car enthusiast from Ho Chi Minh City. He also owns a yellow Ferrari 458 Italia, purchased almost ten years ago, a Ferrari 430 Scuderia, a Ferrari Roma which he later sold, and the latest addition to leave his collection, the 488 Pista, which has now joined Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu’s fleet.
When the Ferrari 488 Pista was first introduced, its price was around 7.7 billion VND. According to car enthusiasts, the sole Ferrari 488 Pista Coupe in Vietnam has an on-road price exceeding 18 billion VND, due to its NG license plate. Production of the Ferrari 488 Pista has since ceased to make way for the Ferrari F8.
The Ferrari 488 Pista is powered by a 3.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine. However, Ferrari has fine-tuned this engine to deliver a maximum power output of 711 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 770 Nm at 3,000 rpm.
In addition to the V8 engine that produces 50 horsepower more than the 488 GTB, the Ferrari 488 Pista has shed approximately 90 kilograms compared to the standard model. These factors contribute to the Ferrari 488 Pista’s ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h.
