Recently, several images have circulated on social media of an Aston Martin DB12 sports car that emerged in Hanoi, Vietnam. This stirred up considerable attention among local media outlets. Further investigation revealed that this is the first Aston Martin DB12 in Vietnam. It was officially imported and is awaiting its introduction to Vietnamese customers.
The Aston Martin DB12 is a grand tourer manufactured by the British automaker. It debuted in May 2023 as a successor to the successful DB11, which has seen close to 10 officially imported units grace Vietnamese roads. Notably, each of these 10 cars sports a unique paint color, demonstrating the Vietnamese elite’s refined taste in automobiles.
The first Aston Martin DB12 to make its appearance in Vietnam sports a stunning olive green hue, exuding an air of elegance. It is adorned with numerous carbon fiber accents, black paint, and contrasting two-tone multi-spoke wheels. At first glance, one might easily mistake the Aston Martin DB12 for its predecessor, the DB11.
Crafted to commemorate the marque’s 110th anniversary, the Aston Martin DB12 is an extensive upgrade of the DB11, which was introduced in 2016. This model boasts several enhancements, including a reimagined front bumper and a larger grille. Combined with these features are a prominent front splitter and distinctive LED headlights.
The interior has also undergone redesign and now features a cutting-edge infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An 11-speaker sound system comes as standard, while customers can opt for an upgraded 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system. Optional extras include Sports Plus seats and Carbon Fiber Performance seats, along with trim options in aluminum, wood, or carbon fiber.
Under the hood of the Aston Martin DB12 lies a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter M177 V8 engine, capable of unleashing 671 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque.
The impressive performance gains are attributed to optimized compression ratios, larger turbochargers, and improved cooling. As a result, the Aston Martin DB12 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h. Regrettably, the 5.2-liter V12 engine from the previous DB11 is no longer available alongside the V8.
