In this upgrade, the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport boasts an exterior design that bears a striking resemblance to the new 2024 Renault Captur. Similar to the Captur, the most significant styling changes in the new Outlander Sport are focused on the front fascia, where the headlights have been updated, replacing the lobster claw-like daytime running lights of the previous model.

The front grille of the Outlander Sport is notably different from the Captur, featuring a larger opening, a more seamless design, and a glossy black finish.

The sides of the vehicle remain largely unchanged. Moving to the rear, the most noticeable alterations are the prominent Mitsubishi lettering and the blacked-out lower bumper.

Inside, the Outlander Sport’s cabin receives some new graphics and Mitsubishi badging. It features a 10.4-inch infotainment screen, similar to the Captur but lacks Renault’s new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, instead opting for a smaller 7-inch display.

Notable standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, driver attention monitoring, lane keep assist, and intelligent speed limiter.

According to information published on the Mitsubishi Motors Netherlands website, the 2025 Outlander Sport will be offered with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 89 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque. A 1.3 DI-T mild-hybrid engine producing 138 horsepower and 260 Nm is also available, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. When mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, the 1.3 DI-T mild-hybrid powertrain sees a power increase to 158 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque.

Mitsubishi also offers a 1.6-liter hybrid powertrain, featuring two electric motors and a 1.2 kWh battery pack, producing a combined output of 143 horsepower.
