Nearly 4,000 Tesla Cybertrucks Recalled to Fix Sticking Accelerator

Tesla has issued a recall for thousands of Cybertrucks over issues with the accelerator pedal that could cause it to get “stuck.” Recent Cybertruck deliveries have also been put on hold to fix the issue before they are delivered to customers.

As per the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the accelerator pedal assembly of the Cybertruck could break, slide forward, and cause the accelerator pedal to become stuck against the floorboard.

A stuck accelerator pedal can cause unintended acceleration, increasing the risk of a crash. The number of Tesla Cybertrucks included in the recall is 3,878. Tesla will replace or repair the accelerator pedal assembly for free. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified in June.
