Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), the Indian arm of Toyota, has introduced a special edition of its popular SUV, the Toyota Fortuner, called the Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition. This limited edition gets cosmetic enhancements over the standard variant and comes with a premium price tag.

The exterior of the Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition gets black alloy wheels, which enhance the sporty look of the SUV. The front and rear bumpers get chrome accents and the body cladding is more prominent, while the dual-tone exterior paint schemes give the car a striking presence. The dual-tone color options include Super White + Black, Platinum Pearl White + Black, and Silver Metallic + Black.

Inside the cabin, the Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition gets a new dual-tone upholstery, along with features like wireless charging, auto-folding ORVMs, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Mechanically, the SUV continues to be powered by the same 2.8-liter, 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 201 bhp and 500 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, in the global markets, Toyota has also introduced a hybrid version of the Fortuner, which is currently on sale in South Africa.
