With these agreements in place, to date, VinFast has partnered with a total of 18 dealers (each dealer opens one VinFast store) in 7 states in the US, including North Carolina, New York, Texas, Florida, Kansas, Connecticut, and Kentucky. 12 new VinFast dealership stores are expected to open from April 2024.

The new dealership stores will start retailing the VF 8 model, followed by the VF 9 and VF 7 as soon as these models are available in the US. In addition, VinFast is operating 15 retail stores and service workshops of the company in California, the state with the highest rate of electric vehicle adoption in the US.

With the aim of bringing excellent after-sales service to US customers, VinFast currently applies a market-leading warranty policy, including a 10-year/125,000-mile warranty for the vehicle and a 10-year unlimited-mileage warranty for the battery.

In addition, VinFast’s spare parts warehouse is always ready to support dealers nationwide to ensure the quality of repair and maintenance services for VinFast customers. Authorized VinFast dealers only need to submit requests to the specialized system; the processing order will be completed and returned periodically.

From the fourth quarter of 2023, VinFast has shifted from the direct-to-consumer distribution model, which is heavy on investment costs, to a more cost-efficient hybrid model with a focus on leveraging existing distribution infrastructure, by building dealer networks in the US and globally. VinFast expects sales through dealerships to contribute significantly to the company’s sales in the second half of 2024.

In addition to key markets such as the US, Canada, and Europe, VinFast is aggressively expanding into countries in the Asian region such as India, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and the Middle East and Africa. Besides Vietnam, VinFast is also promoting the construction of electric car manufacturing plants in the US, India, and plans to build a factory in Indonesia.
