Genesis just unveiled the mid-cycle refresh for its GV70 SUV. It’s set to debut in its home market of South Korea in May before rolling out globally.
The Genesis GV70’s overall design outside remains very familiar to the outgoing model. But look closely and you’ll spot a number of subtle revisions. For instance, there’s a new mesh grille up front, along with the brand’s latest MLA headlights. A new skid plate is also part of the front fascia.
Other upgrades made to the 2025 GV70 include new 19-inch wheels, a revised rear spoiler, and reshaped exhaust outlets.
Inside the cabin, the updates are more substantial. Like the new GV80, the 2025 GV70 ditches the old model’s twin 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen setup in favor of a massive 14.5-inch display. The elliptical climate control panel is also gone, replaced by a more conventional rectangular unit.
There’s also a new steering wheel that’s similar to the one in the 2025 GV80. The ambient lighting system has also been tweaked.
Changes have also been made to the GV70 Sport. It now comes standard with a unique G-Matrix Crest grille, larger air intakes, 21-inch dark-finish alloy wheels, a rear diffuser and dark chrome exhaust tips, unique steering wheel, and orange contrast stitching.
Genesis has yet to announce powertrain specifications for the 2025 GV70, but it will likely carry over with the same engine options as the outgoing model. Those consist of a 2.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel, a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, and a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. The GV70 Electrified will also likely receive similar updates as the rest of the ICE lineup.
