Kia has released the first official images of the K3’s replacement, the Kia K4. The K4 is scheduled to make its global debut on March 21 and will be on display at the New York Auto Show starting March 27.
Kia has only revealed the K4’s exterior design. The car features a muscular fastback shape with boxy front and rear ends. Notably, the rear door handles are positioned on the top window frame, a layout rarely seen on cars today. The Kia K4 comes equipped with a sunroof that has a gloss black finish on the front half of the roof, giving the impression of an extended windshield.
Kia has not yet revealed any other information about the car’s interior space or engine. Rumors suggest that the Korean automaker will make some changes to differentiate the K4 from the current K3.
Paultan reports that the K4 will replace the Cerato/Forte and will be positioned in the C-segment sedan segment. After its launch, the Kia K4 will compete with familiar names such as the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, and Toyota Altis.
In Vietnam, the Kia K3 is currently sold with 5 versions and 3 engine options. The starting price for this model is 549 million VND, with the most expensive model costing 734 million VND.
