Nissan Almera Facelift Arrives in Vietnam
Nissan Almera’s mid-life update debuted in the Thai market in May 2023. After a year, the B-segment sedan is finally making its way to Vietnam.
According to sources, the facelifted Nissan Almera will officially go on sale in Vietnam in the latter half of this year. Similar to the previous version, the car will be fully imported from Thailand.
To enhance its competitiveness against formidable rivals in the segment such as the Honda City, Hyundai Accent, and Toyota Vios, Nissan has upgraded both the design and equipment of the Almera. Like the Thai-spec model, the Almera in Vietnam will feature a new grille with horizontal chrome slats and Nissan’s new 2D logo. The areas flanking the grille are also accentuated with chrome accents. This design gives the new Almera a wider and more imposing front end.

Below the grille is a new front bumper with a narrow central air intake. Meanwhile, the car’s headlights remain unchanged, still incorporating the L-shaped LED daytime running lights.
On the sides, the Nissan Almera receives new alloy wheels. The base model uses 15-inch steel wheels with silver wheel covers, while the higher trim comes with 16-inch alloy wheels in a sporty two-tone finish.

Another exterior change for the B-segment sedan is the addition of a new Gray Sky Pearl paint color, replacing the previous Monarch Orange. The higher trim level can be paired with a black roof for a more eye-catching appearance.

Inside, the Nissan Almera gains a few new details, including the material used on the dashboard. On the higher trim, the dashboard will be upholstered in light blue. The steering wheel is wrapped in softer leather than before, and the interior mirror is now frameless.

Other notable additions to the car’s equipment list include wireless phone charging, cruise control, and a new remote control key. The car’s safety features have also been upgraded with new ones such as automatic headlight assist, lane departure warning, and tire pressure monitoring.
The rest of the equipment on the B-segment sedan remains the same, including synthetic leather seats, push-button start, smart key, steering wheel with volume and hands-free phone controls, analog instrument cluster with 7-inch TFT display, automatic climate control, 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, USB port, and a 6-speaker sound system. The rear seats have only one USB Type A port and still lack air conditioning vents.

The Nissan Almera’s engine is carried over from the previous version. It uses a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline engine that produces a maximum of 100 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via an Xtronic CVT automatic transmission, allowing the car to consume only 23.3 km/l (approximately 4.29 liters/100 km).
The price of the new Nissan Almera in Vietnam has not yet been revealed. The previous version is currently on sale with prices ranging from 539 to 595 million VND. There is currently a 50% discount on registration fees to clear inventory.
