Honda CR-V Continues to Receive Incentives in May 2024

For the past few months, the Honda CR-V has consistently received generous incentives from the manufacturer. May 2024 is no exception.

According to Honda Vietnam, this month, the CR-V will offer incentives on the G and L 2WD variants. Meanwhile, the two higher-end variants, L AWD and e:HEV RS, will not receive any promotions.

Specifically, the Honda CR-V G will receive 100% support for registration fees and an additional 30 million VND in cash. For the L 2WD variant, the manufacturer is offering 100% support for registration fees and a 1-year insurance policy for the vehicle’s body. This registration fee incentive is calculated at a rate of 10%. Therefore, the incentive program for the Honda CR-V G and L 2WD variants remains the same as in the previous month.

The Honda CR-V is currently priced at 1,109 billion VND for the G variant and 1,159 billion VND for the L 2WD variant. With the 100% registration fee incentive, customers purchasing the Honda CR-V G variant will save 111 million VND. The corresponding figure for the L 2WD variant is 116 million VND. Adding the 30 million VND in cash, the total incentive for the Honda CR-V G variant will be 141 million VND.

Honda Vietnam’s incentive program will be applied to customers who sign a vehicle purchase contract and complete the 100% payment procedure from May 6th to May 31st, 2024. In fact, this is a promotional program for CR-Vs manufactured in 2023 (VIN number 2023) to clear Honda’s inventory. Compared to vehicles manufactured in 2024, Honda CR-Vs with VIN number 2023 have no differences in terms of equipment, design, or engine but will experience a greater depreciation when resold.

Due to these manufacturer incentives, the Honda CR-V, despite its high price point in its segment, has maintained impressive sales figures. In March 2024, Honda sold 649 CR-Vs to Vietnamese customers, ranking second in the C-SUV segment, behind only the Mazda CX-5. For the first three months of this year, Honda’s model achieved sales of 1,080 vehicles, ranking behind only the Mazda CX-5 (2,319 vehicles) and Ford Territory (1,212 vehicles).

Officially launched in the Vietnamese market in October 2023, the sixth-generation Honda CR-V has four variants with prices ranging from 1,109 – 1,31 billion VND. In return, the vehicle features a sportier exterior design, larger dimensions, and more comprehensive amenities and safety features.

The highlights of this model lie in its features such as the LED lighting system, 18-inch alloy wheels, 8-way power driver’s seat with 2-position memory, 4-way power front passenger seat, digital instrument panel, 9-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, 12-speaker Bose sound system, automatic air conditioning, interior ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, HUD, remote engine start, smart key, and electronic parking brake.
