Honda Offers Incentives on Civic and Accord Sedans

Effective in May 2024, Honda Vietnam is implementing promotional offers on most of its models, except for the BR-V. Honda’s two fully imported sedans, the Civic and Accord, are no exceptions.

Accordingly, during the month of May, Honda is offering a 100% waiver on the registration fee for the Honda Civic. This C-segment sedan is currently available in three variants, with prices ranging from 730 to 870 million VND. With the 100% registration fee waiver, customers purchasing the Honda Civic will save between 73 to 87 million VND, depending on the variant.

Meanwhile, Honda continues to offer a direct cash discount of up to 220 million VND on the Honda Accord. Thus, in May 2024, Honda Vietnam is implementing identical promotional programs for its two sedans to those in April.

Honda Vietnam’s promotional program applies to customers who sign a purchase contract and complete payment procedures from May 6th to May 31st, 2024. The company’s registration fee waiver will be applied at a rate of 10%.

Promotional Program for Honda Civic and Accord in May 2024

Within Honda’s lineup, the Civic and Accord currently have the weakest sales performance. Therefore, it is unsurprising that Honda has introduced significant incentives to boost sales for these two models.

In March 2024, Honda sold 97 units of the Civic, representing a growth of 130.9%. This result also increased the Honda Civic’s cumulative sales for the first three months of the year to 268 units.

As for the Honda Accord, it only managed to sell 11 units in March 2024, marking a decline of 8.3%. The cumulative sales of this D-segment sedan in the first quarter of this year remain very modest at just 31 units.

Similar to other Honda models, the Civic and Accord lack a competitive advantage in terms of pricing compared to their rivals. The Accord, in particular, not only has a high price of 1.319 billion VND but also comes in just one variant.

However, the Honda Civic and Accord are highly regarded for the spaciousness of their interiors, their engines, their driving experience, and their standard Honda Sensing active safety system. The Honda Civic in Vietnam utilizes a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine, delivering a maximum power of 178 horsepower and a peak torque of 240 Nm. The transmission is a CVT automatic, paired with a front-wheel-drive system.

Meanwhile, the Honda Accord employs a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 188 horsepower and a peak torque of 260 Nm. Coupled with the engine is a CVT automatic transmission with two driving modes: Eco and Sport.
