On the morning of March 21st, the Kia Vietnam Facebook page revealed that it would soon be selling a new version of the Kia Seltos. The exact sales launch date has not yet been announced.

Apart from the image of the front of the car and the aforementioned information, Kia Vietnam has yet to disclose any details about the number of versions or the price of the 2024 Seltos.

This is a fairly reasonable time to introduce an upgraded version of the Kia Seltos because ‘fresh air’ has recently entered the B-class SUV segment in the form of the Toyota Yaris Cross, Mitsubishi Xforce, and the resurgence of familiar names like the Honda HR-V and Hyundai Creta.

The upgraded version of the Kia Seltos was introduced in July 2023. Despite being just a mid-cycle refresh, the Seltos received numerous styling changes on the outside as well as equipment additions inside the cabin. Notable upgrades include the 10.23-inch dual display cluster consisting of a central display and a speedometer, a larger sunroof, an electronic parking brake, automatic wipers, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and more.

The Kia Seltos is currently being sold in the Vietnamese market.

In the Indian market, Kia offers the Seltos with three engine options: a 1.5L naturally aspirated gasoline, a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline, and a 1.5L diesel, with the 1.5L turbocharged gasoline replacing the familiar 1.4L turbocharged engine. In its home country of South Korea, the Kia Seltos has two gasoline engine options: a 1.6L turbocharged and a 2.0L naturally aspirated.

In February, the Kia Seltos ranked third in its segment with 202 units delivered to customers, a decrease of almost 61.5% compared to the previous month. In the first two months of the year, sales of the Kia model temporarily ranked second with 726 units, while its Japanese rival, the Honda HR-V, led with 1,083 units. Kia Seltos is currently distributed by Thaco with 9 versions, with prices ranging from 604-719 million VND.
