In just under two months, Dang Le Nguyen Vu has surprised car enthusiasts by adding five high-quality cars to his collection, bringing his total number of Ferrari cars to over 30, a rare record for Ferrari enthusiasts in Asia and worldwide. It’s important to note that the price of supercars in Vietnam is two to three times higher than in some other countries.

From the Ferrari 599 GTB, Ferrari 360 Spider, Ferrari 488 Pista Coupe, Ferrari 812 Superfast to the Ferrari F430, Mr. Vu has added these stunning cars to his garage, worth billions of VND, surprising and impressing car enthusiasts with his passion for the “prancing horse” brand.

Ferrari 599 GTB

Kicking off the “prancing horse” hunting campaign over the past two months was the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, which had resided in “Qua” Vu’s garage for a long time. However, when he sold many supercars in 2020, this unique horse in Vietnam at that time was also liquidated. After three years, the supercar is back with this collector.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, purchased by Mr. Vu in March, was imported into the country in August 2009, meaning it’s already 15 years old. The car has had only three owners; the first was in Hanoi, then Mr. Vu bought it before selling it to a showroom in Saigon in 2021. Half a year later, it found its third owner before being sold back to “Qua” Vu.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces a maximum of 612 horsepower and 608 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, enabling the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h. It is also equipped with a Frequency Intelligent Exhaust (FI) system worth hundreds of millions of VND.

Ferrari 360 Spider

In addition to the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Dang Le Nguyen Vu also acquired the Ferrari 360 Spider, one of the few remaining on the market. It is believed that he bought both supercars from the same person.

The Ferrari 360 Spider is equipped with a 3.6-liter V8 engine, the same as the Ferrari 360 Modena. This engine produces a maximum power of 395 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 373 Nm at 4,750 rpm.

The Ferrari 360 Spider’s engine is mated to a 6-speed F1 gearbox, allowing the convertible supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 288 km/h. It is known that the Ferrari 360 Spider convertible has been fitted with a Capristo exhaust system.

Ferrari 812 Superfast

Three weeks after purchasing the aforementioned pair of Ferraris, Mr. Vu surprised everyone again by quietly acquiring one of the two Ferrari 812 Superfast supercars imported into Vietnam. The car has a black exterior and has not been repainted since joining “Qua” Vu’s garage.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast is equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces a maximum power of 789 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 718 Nm at 7,000 rpm.

The engine is paired with a redesigned 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for faster gear shifts, enabling the Ferrari 812 Superfast to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 340 km/h. Additionally, this supercar is fitted with an FI exhaust system with the serial number 008.

The One-of-a-Kind Ferrari 488 Pista in Vietnam

As the title suggests, the Ferrari 488 Pista Coupe purchased by Dang Le Nguyen Vu from a car enthusiast in Ho Chi Minh City is truly unique. With this addition, Mr. Vu now owns the Ferrari 488 in three different versions: the standard, the 488 Pista, and the 488 Pista Spider.

When it was launched, the Ferrari 488 Pista was priced at around 7.7 billion VND. According to car enthusiasts, the one-of-a-kind Ferrari 488 Pista Coupe has a market value of over 18 billion VND, with the lower price being attributed to its NG license plate. Currently, the production of the Ferrari 488 Pista has stopped, making way for the Ferrari F8.

The Ferrari 488 Pista is still powered by a 3.9-liter V8 turbocharged engine, but Ferrari has fine-tuned it to deliver a maximum power of 711 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 770 Nm at 3,000 rpm.

In addition to the V8 engine, which has 50 more horsepower than the 488 GTB, the Ferrari 488 Pista is also about 90 kg lighter than the standard version. These improvements enable the Ferrari 488 Pista to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h.

The Most Mysterious Ferrari F430 in Vietnam

Earlier this month, “Qua” Vu made another remarkable move by acquiring the long-lost Ferrari F430 with the license plate number 16N-6116. Currently, there are about eight Ferrari F430s in Vietnam, including three Coupe versions, three Spider versions, and two high-performance F430 Scuderia models.

The Ferrari F430 was introduced in 2004 to replace the 360 model and was produced until 2009 when it was discontinued in favor of the 458 Italia. Subsequently, the Ferrari 458 Italia was also discontinued, and the 488 GTB took its place. Currently, the Ferrari F8 Tributo has replaced the Ferrari 488 GTB, which has also been discontinued.

The Ferrari F430 is equipped with a 4.3-liter V8 engine that produces a maximum power of 490 horsepower and a maximum torque of 465 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 315 km/h. The Ferrari F430 has an average fuel consumption of about 20 liters per 100 km.
