Volkswagen Vietnam is offering attractive discounts on its range of vehicles, with deals available across its local lineup. The German brand is known for its quality and engineering, and now, with these promotions, its cars are even more appealing to prospective buyers.
The Volkswagen Touareg and Teramont are the stand-out models with significant price reductions. The Touareg, an elegant SUV, has been discounted by up to VND 300 million for the Elegance trim and a substantial VND 400 million for the Luxury trim. This brings the post-discount prices to VND 2.699 billion and VND 3.099 billion, respectively.
The Volkswagen Touareg, an SUV that rivals luxury vehicles, is now more affordable with a discount of up to VND 400 million, resulting in a starting price of VND 2.7 billion.
Following a similar strategy, the large SUV Volkswagen Teramont has also received a price cut of VND 400 million, bringing its price down to VND 2.099 billion. Additionally, there’s a new variant, the Teramont Limited Edition, priced at VND 2.138 billion, although it isn’t part of the current promotional offer.
The recently launched Teramont X, introduced in March 2024, comes with complimentary accessories, including a step board and a three-year free maintenance package. The Teramont X is priced at VND 1.998 billion for the Luxury trim and VND 2.168 billion for the Platinum trim.
The Tiguan, another popular SUV, has also seen a significant price reduction of VND 300 million, bringing its price down to VND 1.699 billion. Volkswagen’s promotional prices at dealerships for May 2024 (in VND)
The Volkswagen Viloran, a large MPV, is not part of this promotion and maintains its original price of VND 1.989 billion for the Premium trim and VND 2.188 billion for the Luxury trim.
Volkswagen’s current discounts are among the highest in the market. Even with these promotions, Volkswagen vehicles are generally priced higher than their competitors in the same segments. This pricing strategy has made Volkswagen cars less accessible to some Vietnamese buyers.
Historically, Volkswagen’s pricing in Vietnam has been on the higher side when compared to other mass-market brands. Despite this, the brand has positioned itself at a premium, akin to luxury car pricing. This has resulted in a more niche appeal for Volkswagen in the Vietnamese market.
Volkswagen’s vehicles in Vietnam are imported from various countries, including the USA, Mexico, Slovakia, India, and China. The Teramont X and Viloran are products of the SAIC-Volkswagen joint venture in China, while the Virtus and T-Cross are imported from India. The Teramont, on the other hand, is produced in the USA and then shipped to Vietnam.
