Three years ago, Phan Cong Khanh, then a pre-owned supercar showroom owner in Binh Chanh district, surprised Vietnam’s car enthusiasts by importing the McLaren GT, a Grand Tourer with an exceptionally spacious trunk for long-haul trips requiring ample luggage.
Khanh Supper imported this McLaren GT to Vietnam to offer customers a unique driving experience and to find a buyer. Six months later, the car was purchased by a discreet female millionaire in her 20s from Can Tho. It took almost a year for the car to get its license plate, 65A-33.666, with the number 6 appearing thrice, known as tam hoa 6 in Vietnamese. The estimated price of this McLaren GT is over 20 billion VND.
After a long time, the McLaren GT unexpectedly returned to the Khanh Supper showroom and was then purchased by another hot girl for her driving pleasure. Recently, the car has reappeared on the pre-owned car market with an odometer reading of nearly 3,000 km.
On average, this white McLaren GT has only traveled about 1,000 km per year, a relatively low figure. Currently, the first McLaren GT in Vietnam is being offered for sale at 10 billion VND, and the price is negotiable.
Aside from this McLaren GT, there is another one in Vietnam, featuring a striking orange color and officially imported.
This fascinating car is equipped with two luggage compartments, offering a total storage capacity of 570 liters. The front compartment provides 150 liters of space, suitable for medium-sized suitcases, handbags, and personal items. In contrast, the rear cabin compartment has a capacity of up to 420 liters, accommodating large and small suitcases or golf clubs.
In terms of design, the McLaren GT features sharp LED headlights and horizontal LED taillights, similar to other McLaren supercars. The Grand Touring version also boasts stylish butterfly doors, facilitating convenient entry and exit for both the driver and passengers.
The interior of the McLaren GT features a large vertically oriented infotainment screen and an aesthetically pleasing gear shift design. The cockpit of the McLaren GT, currently listed for sale at 10 billion VND, is predominantly white.
The McLaren GT, once owned by a female millionaire from Can Tho, is powered by a new 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that delivers a maximum output of 620 horsepower and a peak torque of 630 Nm at 5,500 to 6,500 rpm.
The engine of the McLaren GT is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling the Grand Tourer to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 326 km/h.
Positioned above the 570S but below the 720S, the McLaren GT directly competes with the Aston Martin DB11, Porsche 911 Turbo S, and Bentley Continental GT.
