Toyota Vietnam has recently announced its sales figures for May 2024, and they are impressive. The company sold a total of 5,356 vehicles in the domestic market, an increase of 19.4% compared to the previous month. Of these, 1,740 were domestically assembled, and 3,616 were completely built-up imported vehicles.
Meanwhile, the luxury brand Lexus achieved a sales volume of 140 vehicles, a growth of 30%. The cumulative sales since the introduction of the Lexus brand in Vietnam have reached 12,826 units. The combined sales of both Toyota and Lexus brands in May 2024 grew by 19.6% to 5,496 units.

Toyota’s vehicle sales in May 2024 (units)
Last month, the best-selling model of the Toyota brand in Vietnam was the Corolla Cross. Specifically, this model sold an impressive 996 units, a significant increase from the 14 units sold in Apr 2024. This explosion in sales is thanks to the upgraded version launched in early May 2024, featuring improved design and additional equipment.
The second best-selling model of the Toyota brand is the Yaris Cross, with sales of 902 units, a growth of 2.2%. The Toyota Vios comes in third in terms of sales, with 766 units sold, a decrease of 17%. Meanwhile, the Toyota Veloz Cross ranks fourth with 604 units sold, an increase of 15%.
After a brilliant performance in Apr 2024, the Toyota Innova Cross saw a decline in sales in May. The MPV sold only 461 units, a decrease of 42.5%.
For the Toyota Hilux, a pickup truck model, a new version was introduced in May 2024. As a result, the Hilux finally generated sales of 308 units last month.
This June 2024, Toyota Vietnam continues to offer promotions for the small MPV models Avanza Premio and Veloz Cross. From June 1 to June 30, 2024, customers purchasing these models can choose one of the following incentive packages:
– Package 1: 0% interest rate for the first 12 months
– Package 2: Free Toyota Gold package body insurance for one year
All customers who purchase a vehicle and complete the payment process during the program period are eligible for these promotions. This program was also applied to the Avanza Premio and Veloz Cross models in May 2024.
