Ford has confirmed that the new generation of its Transit lineup will be officially launched in Vietnam on July 5-6, 2024. Ahead of its debut, the 2024 Ford Transit for the Vietnamese market has been fully revealed.
From these images, it can be seen that the 2024 Ford Transit for Vietnam boasts a similar exterior to the model developed and sold by the JMC-Ford joint venture in China. This is the same joint venture that developed the Ford Territory, which is currently available in the Vietnamese market.
In this new generation, the Transit adopts a design style similar to many other Ford products. This can be observed in the front grille area, which features a large grille with a multi-point mesh design and chrome accents, reminiscent of the Ford Territory. Meanwhile, the “C”-shaped headlights bear a resemblance to those found on the Ford Ranger and Everest duo.

The high-end version of the 2024 Ford Transit will feature chrome accents on the front end, along with a silver-colored faux skid plate on the front bumper, giving it a more rugged appearance. It also includes small fog lights at both corners.
Similar to the previous generation, the new Transit continues to feature vertically oriented taillights. Additionally, it comes with new two-tone scratch-resistant alloy wheels and an electrically adjustable sliding door on the side.

According to dealer information, the 2024 Ford Transit in Vietnam will be offered in three variants: Trend, Premium, and Premium+. The Premium+ version boasts an impressive wheelbase of 3,760 mm and dual rear wheels.

The Trend and Premium variants of the 2024 Ford Transit offer a 16-seat interior configuration. However, the Premium version features a higher roof, and the Premium+ variant will provide seating for 18 passengers, including the driver.

Similar to the exterior, the interior of this commercial vehicle has been refreshed, with a highlight being the large touchscreen display on the dashboard. This display integrates a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen infotainment system. Other features include a three-spoke steering wheel with integrated function buttons.

Specific equipment details of the 2024 Ford Transit for the Vietnamese market have not yet been disclosed. It is known, however, that the vehicle will be powered by a 2.3-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, producing a maximum output of 175 horsepower and a peak torque of 430 Nm. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF.
Ford dealers in Vietnam have started accepting reservations for this model. The expected price range for the 2024 Ford Transit in Vietnam is between 889 and 949 million VND (approximately $38,000 to $40,500).
