In early May, Ferrari unveiled its newest supercar, the 12Cilindri. A follow-up to the successful 812 Superfast, the 12Cilindri sports a classic design with a surprising twist – a powerful engine that’s sure to captivate Ferrari enthusiasts. Just days after its release, Vietnamese businessman Nguyen Quoc Cuong, commonly known as Cuong “Dollar,” expressed his interest in the new model.
Now, our sources reveal that Dang Le Nguyen Vu, another prominent Vietnamese entrepreneur, has also set his sights on the Ferrari 12Cilindri. Vu was even invited to purchase the car before its official launch, but he is waiting for the official pricing in Vietnam.
BREAKING: “Mr. Vu” Eyes the Ferrari 12Cilindri – Ferrari’s Newest V12 Supercar
The Ferrari 12Cilindri is priced at 395,000 euros (approximately 10.78 billion VND) for the coupe and 435,000 euros (11.87 billion VND) for the convertible in foreign markets. It is expected to cost over 40 billion VND when it arrives in Vietnam. Vu’s collection of Ferrari supercars is approaching 40, and the 12Cilindri, with its V12 engine, would be a perfect addition to his stable of horses, mostly dominated by V8 models.
It remains to be seen whether Vu will opt for the coupe or convertible version of the 12Cilindri, and it would be intriguing if he decided to purchase both, as he has done with other models like the 911 Turbo and Porsche 911 GT3. He often buys multiple variants of the same model, showcasing his passion for these performance vehicles.
The design of the Ferrari 12Cilindri pays homage to the iconic Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, featuring a distinctive black stripe on the roof that cannot be removed or altered. The interior draws inspiration from the Purosangue and Roma, and it is the brand’s first model to feature a fully digital instrument cluster.
The car combines active and passive aerodynamics to improve its drag coefficient compared to the 812 Superfast. At the rear, a spoiler enhances downforce at high speeds. One side of the spoiler can tilt up to 10 degrees at speeds above 60 km/h, acting as an air brake and generating 50 kg of downforce at high velocities.
The 12Cilindri rides on 21-inch wheels, with Michelin Pilot Sport S5 or Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires. Its braking system consists of 398 mm front and 360 mm rear discs, controlled by an electronic “brake-by-wire” system. The car also features four-wheel steering.
Under the hood, the Ferrari 12Cilindri is powered solely by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, producing an impressive 819 horsepower. This high-revving engine can reach a maximum of 9,500 rpm.
According to Ferrari, the 12Cilindri Coupe is equipped with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 7.9 seconds. The convertible is slightly slower, reaching 100 km/h in 2.95 seconds and 200 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The coupe has a curb weight of 1,560 kg, while the spider weighs in at 1,620 kg.
