Vietnamese actress and socialite, Ly Nha Ky, known for her lavish displays of diamonds, villas, and designer bags, has sparked interest online with her recent gift to her mother: a brand-new Land Rover Range Rover.

The celebrity shared that she purchased the luxury SUV for her mother, opting not to have her name on the vehicle’s paperwork. Images shared by Ly Nha Ky show that she was not present during the handover, although a few family members accompanied her mother.

In a surprising turn of events, the actress’s mother, aged over 70, not only acquired the new Range Rover with a price tag of over VND 10 billion (approximately $430,000), but also registered it with a premium license plate, 51L-179.79, which was auctioned for VND 795 million (nearly $34,000).

The exterior of the SUV is painted in Batumi Gold, one of the most popular colors for the new Range Rover. As for the interior, Ly Nha Ky’s mother’s Range Rover features a combination of premium Kvadrat fabric and wool, offering a warm and cozy ambiance.

The vehicle is also equipped with a large 13.1-inch Pivo Pro infotainment screen, an 11.4-inch rear entertainment screen behind the steering wheel, and, depending on the version, the Amazon Alexaxe virtual assistant. The Range Rover features a Meridian sound system with 35 speakers and a power output of 1,608 watts, as well as 24-way power-adjustable seats with massage functionality…

Land Rover has incorporated a range of advanced technologies into the new Range Rover, including third-generation active noise cancellation for a quiet interior, an air purification system with nanoeTM X technology to reduce allergens and eliminate pathogens, and CO2 management and PM2.5 air filtration for improved air quality. The nanoeTM X technology has been scientifically proven to significantly reduce viruses and bacteria, including the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

In terms of performance, the new Range Rover is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six MHEV (mild hybrid electric vehicle) engine, producing 355 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling the SUV to reach a top speed of 242 km/h.
