According to Tri Thức – Znews, Thaco Vietnam has adjusted the prices of Mazda’s range of sedans and SUVs since the beginning of May. Notably, this move by the Japanese carmaker comes shortly after the latest price change in late March. So far this year, Mazda has undergone three price adjustments.
Sedans in the B and C segments increased by VND 5-10 million
On the company’s website, the Mazda2 and Mazda3 sedans have seen price increases ranging from VND 5-10 million compared to previous listing prices. Earlier in January, the Japanese brand increased the prices of all three versions of the Mazda2 sedan, as well as the Luxury and Premium versions of the Mazda2 Sport.
Right after the four-day holiday from April 30 to May 1, the price of this sedan model continued to be adjusted. Specifically, except for the 1.5 Luxury version, which increased by VND 5 million, all other versions of the Mazda2 increased by VND 10 million. After the change, the listed price of this sedan will range from VND 430-572 million.
Model | New Price (million VND) | Old Price (million VND) | Increase (million VND) |
Mazda2 1.5L AT | 430 | 420 | 10 |
Mazda2 1.5L Luxury | 509 | 504 | 5 |
Mazda2 1.5 Premium | 534 | 524 | 10 |
Mazda2 Sport 1.5L Luxury | 527 | 517 | 10 |
Mazda2 Sport 1.5L Premium | 572 | 562 | 10 |
Mazda3 1.5L Luxury | 624 | 619 | 5 |
Unlike the Mazda2, its “sibling” from the same brand, the Mazda3, has only been adjusted in the 1.5 Luxury version. After the change, the price of the Mazda3 1.5 Luxury increased from VND 619 million to VND 624 million.
In the Vietnamese market, the Mazda3 currently has a price range of VND 579-679 million. It is also the sedan model with the most stable sales in the segment when compared to other competitors such as the Hyundai Elantra (VND 599-799 million) or the Kia K3 (VND 599-734 million).
The Mazda CX-3, CX-30, and CX-8 also saw price increases
In the price adjustment at the beginning of this year, the Mazda CX-3 had a listed price ranging from VND 534-654 million, while the CX-30 was also increased to VND 699-739 million.
Entering the second quarter, the company has continued to adjust the prices of these two SUV models, with increases ranging from VND 5-10 million. After the change, the new listed price of the CX-3 will range from VND 539-664 million.
Model | Old Price (million VND) | New Price (million VND) | Increase (million VND) |
Mazda CX-3 1.5L AT | 534 | 539 | 5 |
Mazda CX-3 1.5L Deluxe | 569 | 579 | 10 |
Mazda CX-3 1.5L Luxury | 599 | 609 | 10 |
664 | 654 | 664 | 10 |
Mazda CX-30 2.0L Premium | 739 | 749 | 10 |
Despite the continuous price adjustments, the CX-3 remains the model with the lowest listed price in its segment when compared to competitors such as the Honda HR-V (VND 699-876 million), Toyota Corolla Cross (VND 760-955 million), or the CX-30 (VND 699-749 million). In the first quarter of this year, Thaco Vietnam successfully sold 422 units of the CX-3.
The CX-30, a close “sibling” to the CX-3, also saw a price increase of VND 10 million for the Premium version. Thus, after the change, the price range of this SUV model is now VND 699-749 million.
Recently, Mazda launched the new generation version of the CX-30 in the Philippines. According to Tri Thức – Znews, the 2024 CX-30 has an exterior that is not too different from the current version available in Vietnam.

However, the Japanese carmaker has made some design changes to the interior, including a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, and additional safety equipment in the i-Activsense package. It is likely that the new version of the CX-30 will be available in Vietnam later this year.
The Mazda CX-8, which had its price reduced in the mid-April adjustment, has now been increased again by the company. According to the company’s website, all versions of the CX-8 have been increased by VND 10 million. Thus, the new listed price of this SUV model starts from VND 949 million to VND 1,129 billion.
