Just last week, Chinese media outlets released interior images of the Avatr 07, Huawei’s new SUV. However, the images were quite lackluster, both literally and figuratively, leaving many unimpressed.
Fortunately, newer and much more appealing images have surfaced, indicating that the interior will be a significant selling point for Avatr’s third model. Unlike the initial standard car images, the new reveal is of a high-end version, with a different layout, seat colors, and rear seating.
One of the most striking features is the four-screen setup at the front, similar to the latest Avatr 11 and 12 models. There’s a narrow, elongated dashboard screen that spans almost the entire width of the interior, exuding luxury.
From one of the images, we can see a displayed range of 104 km, while the vehicle’s power gauge shows it’s using just about half of its electric power. Meanwhile, a yellow fuel warning is visible, and the fuel range is not clearly displayed, indicating that the images are of the EREV version.
From this, we can deduce that the all-electric range of the Avatr 07 EREV is approximately 200 km. Additionally, the instrument panel displays features like tire pressure. At each end of the dashboard are screens for cameras, replacing traditional rearview mirrors.
Further images of the Avatr 07’s cockpit reveal an interior largely devoid of buttons, with the infotainment system featuring virtual buttons at the bottom for climate control. There’s also a dual wireless charging pad for mobile phones.
Accents of yellow are seen throughout, from the strip separating the phone charging area to the steering wheel, where control buttons are located. The center console opens to the side and can be accessed from both sides. The perforated leather seats feature a two-tone beige and brown color scheme. Ambient lighting in blue also appears to be present. At the rear, there’s a sizable armrest that can be folded down, and the seats seem to be electrically adjustable.
Earlier reports stated that the Avatr 07 EREV’s 39 kWh battery provides an all-electric range of up to 188 km. However, with new internal information suggesting a higher range, these figures may not be accurate.
Additionally, the 188 km range could be for the dual-motor EV version, which uses a 231 kW motor at the rear and an additional 131 kW motor at the front. The single-motor versions, on the other hand, only use the 231 kW rear motor. The extended range comes from a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, producing 115 horsepower, and the car has a top speed of 190 km/h.
All electric versions are also available with a single or dual-motor option. Both use a 252 kW rear motor, and the four-wheel-drive version adds an 188 kW motor to the front. The rear motor is from Changan’s Deepal brand, while the front motor is from Chongqing Tsingshan Industrial. The top speed is 200 km/h.
