While Honda has not introduced any new promotions for the Civic line in June 2024, some dealerships are offering significant discounts on this C-segment sedan.

Specifically, dealerships in the southern region are offering to cover 100% of the registration fee for the Honda Civic. This model is currently available in three versions: E, G, and RS, priced at 730 million, 770 million, and 870 million VND, respectively. With the dealership’s offer of covering the registration fee, customers can save between 73 and 87 million VND when registering their vehicle.

According to these dealerships, the luring price of the Honda Civic E base model is now only 780 million VND, while the top-of-the-line RS version remains at its listed price of 870 million VND. Of course, these vehicles will be limited in quantity and color options.

This month, not only the Civic but also the HR-V and BR-V models from Honda have been excluded from promotional programs. Instead, the company is offering incentives for three other lines: CR-V, City, and Accord.

In particular, Honda is providing a 50% registration fee support for the CR-V’s G and L 2WD versions. This benefit translates to a savings of 55 million VND for the G version and 58 million VND for the L 2WD version.

Similarly, the Honda City also comes with a 50% registration fee support and a one-year hull insurance gift for all three versions. This fee support is equivalent to a value of 28 to 30 million VND.

As for the Honda Accord, the company is offering a cash gift of 220 million VND, bringing down the price of this D-segment sedan to 1.099 billion VND.

The Honda Civic is not included in the official promotions for June 2024.

Within Honda’s automotive product portfolio, the Civic has not achieved outstanding sales performance. In May 2024, the model sold 191 units, a 3% decrease compared to the previous month. From the beginning of 2024 until now, the cumulative sales of the Honda Civic have reached only 656 vehicles. In the C-segment sedan category, the Honda model lags behind the Mazda3 (1,624 units), Kia K3 (1,138 units), and Hyundai Elantra (709 units). The only competitor it outperforms is the Toyota Corolla Altis, which sold 193 units.

In the C-segment sedan market, the Honda Civic doesn’t have a competitive advantage in terms of pricing. However, it still attracts a dedicated customer base thanks to its attractive design, comprehensive safety features, powerful engine, and highly-regarded driving experience.

The Honda Civic in Vietnam boasts impressive features such as leather seats, power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch central touchscreen, wireless charging, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) as part of the Honda Sensing package.

Under the hood, the Honda Civic is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine that delivers 178 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive.
