The latest generation of the ultra-luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantom has arrived in Vietnam, and a recent spotting of the eighth-generation model with the license plate 36A-986.99 has captivated car enthusiasts nationwide. This white Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII is one of the few in the country.
According to our information, this is the second eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom to be spotted in Thanh Hoa province. The first one is even more special as it is the Tranquillity edition, limited to just 25 units worldwide, with only two of them gracing the roads of Vietnam.
A businessman from Thanh Hoa has recently purchased the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII, a luxury car worth nearly VND 60 billion, and a license plate worth VND 105 million.
This eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom, owned by a businessman in Thanh Hoa, sports a sleek charcoal exterior with a long wheelbase. Imported at a price of over VND 50 billion, excluding registration fees, it boasts a unique Hermes orange interior.
To match the car’s elegance, the owner participated in an auction and successfully bid VND 105 million for the lucky license plate 36A-986.99. In feng shui, this plate is considered very fortunate as it consists of lucky numbers: 9 for longevity, 8 for wealth, and 6 for prosperity.
The eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom introduces all-new headlights with Laser and LED technology, providing an impressive 600-meter range. Its exterior is accentuated by glossy chrome details and a coachline stripe in a striking orange hue. The iconic Spirit of Ecstasy emblem sits proudly 12mm higher on the hood, with a slightly revised grille design from its predecessor.
What sets this particular Phantom apart is its fashionable orange interior, a trend among Vietnam’s elite for their supercars, luxury vehicles, and sports cars.
The interior of the eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom features a unique centerpiece called The Gallery, which can be personalized with oil paintings, ceramics, silk, feathers, or even 3D-printed gold designs. It also boasts a 12.3-inch TFT screen, a four-zone automatic climate control system, and a 1,300W Rolls-Royce Bespoke sound system for an immersive audio experience.
Under the hood, the eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 engine that delivers 563 horsepower, an increase of 110 horsepower over the previous generation. It also produces a peak torque of 900 Nm, an improvement of 180 Nm.
The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, featuring “satellite aid” technology for seamless gear shifts. This enables the Phantom to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds, an improvement of 0.4 seconds over the previous generation.
