Lexus has officially unveiled the new generation of its luxury SUV, the GX, in Vietnam on June 25, 2024. The vehicle is offered in two variants, the GX 550 M and GX 550, with expected prices of 6.2 billion and 6.25 billion VND respectively.

The GX is now available at authorized Lexus dealerships in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

As previously reported, the new Lexus GX is built on the GA-F platform, shared with the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series and the Lexus LX. Compared to its predecessor, it is 80 mm longer, 95 mm wider, and 50 mm taller. Specifically, the 2024 Lexus GX boasts dimensions of 5,005 x 2,114 x 1,915 – 1,935 mm (LxWxH) and a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.

The new GX features Lexus’ iconic spindle grille, now presented in a new three-dimensional form, which protects the engine compartment from obstacles on off-road terrain.

Accompanying the grille are refined front and rear light clusters that optimize the driver’s field of vision while emphasizing the vehicle’s robust, square shape. The LED headlights integrate sharp ‘L’-shaped daytime running lights.

On the flanks, the 2024 GX is equipped with enlarged wheel arches, new alloy wheels…

…large side mirrors with integrated turn signals

…and automatic running boards.

Additionally, the GX sports a redesigned rear bumper with a muscular look and a rear windshield that can be opened.

With its larger dimensions, the luxury SUV naturally offers more spacious interiors than its predecessor.

The 2024 Lexus GX continues to offer a spacious 3-row cabin packed with amenities.

Inspired by the Tazuna design philosophy, the interior features luxurious Tsuyasumi wood trim and synthetic leather. The front seats are a focal point, offering massage functions and 10-way power adjustment for the driver and 8-way for the front passenger.

Furthermore, a 12.3-inch customizable digital instrument cluster is included, allowing for simultaneous display of multiple types of information and customizable content. This is complemented by a head-up display and a 14-inch central touchscreen.

The GX is also equipped with a Mark Levinson sound system featuring 21 speakers…

…and a multi-color ambient lighting system, creating a vibrant atmosphere for occupants.

The GX 550 M features a single sunroof, while the GX 550 is equipped with a large panoramic sunroof that extends from the front to the second row and includes a privacy shade.

The Lexus GX 2024 is not just about comfort and convenience; it also prioritizes safety with the advanced Lexus Safety Sense+ 3.0 suite. This includes features such as Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Lane Tracing Assist (LTA). Additionally, the SUV is equipped with a 360-degree camera, Safe Exit Assist (SEA), and Blind Spot Monitor (BSM).

Powering the new Lexus GX in Vietnam is a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 349 horsepower and 649 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4-wheel drive system.

Additionally, the SUV benefits from a 2nd-gear start mode for smooth acceleration and traction on slippery surfaces, an adaptive variable suspension system, and an electric power steering system, all firsts for the GX lineup.

The 2024 Lexus GX is offered in seven exterior colors, including Sonic Quartz, Mercury Gray Mica, Sonic Titanium, Titanium Carbide Gray, Graphite Black Glass Flake, Terrane Khaki Mica Metallic, and Deep Blue Mic. The interior is available in black, gray, and brown.
