In April 2024, Mercedes-Benz announced the launch of its high-performance luxury model, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 E Performance, in Vietnam, with a suggested retail price of VND 4.9 billion. On June 22, 2024, the first units of the Mercedes-AMG C 63 E Performance arrived in the country.
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 E Performance is the most expensive, fastest, and most powerful variant of the C-Class luxury sedan range. It is also the first model to feature the E Performance technology in the Vietnamese market.
Specifically, this car is equipped with the independent E Performance powertrain, comprising a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 680 horsepower and a whopping 1,020 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed AMG Speedshift MCT 9G automatic transmission and an AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system. This setup enables the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds.
Additionally, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 E Performance comes with a 6.1 kWh battery pack that provides a continuous output of 70 kW and peaks at 150 kW for up to 10 seconds. The battery can be charged at charging stations, using a wallbox, or via a household electrical outlet with the integrated 3.7 kW AC charger. With this battery, the car can travel up to 15 kilometers solely on electric power and reach a top speed of 125 km/h without using the gasoline engine.
Aside from its impressive performance, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 E Performance boasts a sportier exterior design compared to other C-Class variants, thanks to the AMG Carbon Package. It features carbon fiber-clad side mirrors, 20-inch AMG black gloss multi-spoke alloy wheels with red brake calipers, and a carbon fiber rear spoiler.

Other design highlights include a horizontal air intake on the center of the hood, sporty side skirts, a large rear diffuser, and trapezoidal exhaust tips. Meanwhile, the traditional Mercedes-Benz star emblem on the hood has been replaced with a round badge featuring the AMG logo in black.
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 E Performance also has larger dimensions than the standard C-Class, with an overall length that is 83 mm longer and a front track width that is 76 mm wider, while the wheelbase has been extended by 10 mm.
Inside, the high-performance sedan combines luxury and sportiness. It features AMG sports seats upholstered in premium Nappa leather with perforated side bolsters and embossed AMG pattern on the front backrests. The interior is further accentuated by a 3-spoke AMG Performance steering wheel with carbon fiber/microfiber trim, touch control buttons, a digital instrument cluster, and a large central touchscreen infotainment system.

Other notable features include the AMG-specific buttons, an optional head-up display, carbon fiber interior trim, and the Energizing Air Control air filtration system.
The car is also packed with advanced technologies such as the AMG Track Pace virtual racing engineer, the AMG Driver’s Package that increases the top speed to 280 km/h, high-performance AMG brakes, rear-axle steering with a maximum steering angle of 2.5 degrees, and Active Aerodynamics with an automatically adjusting rear spoiler.
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 E Performance is a limited-edition model imported from Germany and is the second high-performance AMG variant of the C-Class available in Vietnam, following the C 43 4Matic.
