The McLaren 650S Spider, a stunning convertible supercar, has recently caught the attention of the online community and car enthusiasts in Vietnam. With a price tag of over 7 billion VND, this particular model with the license plate 30K-708.01 stands out with its vibrant yellow exterior—a unique feature as it is the only McLaren 650S Spider in the country to don this eye-catching shade.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the yellow paint job on the McLaren 650S Spider is actually a decal, and the car has undergone several transformations in the past. The hood, for instance, has been modified to resemble the million-dollar McLaren P1, indicating that the car has had a colorful history with multiple owners.
The McLaren 650S Spider’s Unique Journey: From Hot Girl Jessie Lương’s Ride to Its New Life in Hanoi
Diving into its history, this very same McLaren 650S Spider entered Vietnam over nine years ago, sporting a unique brown-orange hue. However, its first owner, Mr. Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ, made a bold statement by repainting it white. The car then changed hands multiple times, each time undergoing slight modifications and sporting different colors.
It wasn’t until it was purchased by the ex-husband of Diệp Lâm Anh that significant changes were made. The car received a new lease of life with a McLaren P1-style hood, an upgraded exhaust system, and a variety of different wraps. Eventually, it found its way to a showroom in Hanoi, where it was bought by the famous hot girl Jessie Lương.
Jessie Lương, after enjoying the car to her heart’s content, decided to sell it and contacted Phan Công Khanh. Unfortunately, this led to a scandal as Khanh, the owner of showroom K-Supper, was arrested for fraud. After a long legal battle, the McLaren 650S Spider was returned and sold to a new owner in Hanoi, where it received a new license plate. The car has since made its way to Ho Chi Minh City in search of a new buyer, but its current whereabouts are unknown.
One of the most appealing features of the McLaren 650S Spider is its retractable hardtop, which can be raised or lowered in just 14 to 16 seconds at the push of a button. This can be done while the car is in motion, but only at speeds below 50 km/h.
Under the hood, the McLaren 650S Spider is a beast. It’s equipped with a 3.8-liter V8 engine, twin-turbocharged to produce a massive 641 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 678 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Paired with a 7-speed SSG transmission, this supercar can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 328 km/h.
