According to Toyota Vietnam, the reinforcement bar is welded inside the floor of the vehicle. The left and right reinforcement bars of the affected vehicles may be missing a weld point, which could lead to the detachment of the reinforcement bar and affect the vehicle’s strength. As a result, this may increase the deformation of the vehicle body in the event of a collision.

Customers with affected vehicles will be notified by Toyota dealers to bring in their vehicles for inspection. Depending on the inspection results, the necessary reinforcement welds will be added to their vehicles. The inspection and repair process is estimated to take approximately 0.7 – 1.9 hours per vehicle.

The recall campaign will be officially carried out by Toyota Vietnam from June 26, 2024, at all authorized dealers nationwide. Toyota Vietnam advises customers who own vehicles affected by this program to promptly bring their vehicles to any authorized dealer nationwide for a free inspection and necessary repairs.
