The All-New Yaris Cross: Toyota’s Best-Selling Car in Vietnam for June 2024

In June, Toyota's best-selling model in Vietnam was the Yaris Cross, with 811 units sold, a decrease of 10% from the previous month.

On July 1, 2024, Toyota Vietnam announced its sales performance for the past month of June. The company sold a total of 5,178 vehicles, a 3.3% decrease compared to the previous month. Of these, 1,866 were locally assembled, while 3,312 were completely built-up imported units.

Additionally, according to Toyota Vietnam, they sold 391 hybrid vehicles in the past month despite supply constraints. For the Lexus brand, sales in June 2024 reached 137 units. This brings the cumulative sales since the introduction of the Lexus brand in Vietnam to 12,963 units.

Last month’s best-selling Toyota model in Vietnam was the Yaris Cross, with 811 units sold. Compared to the previous month, sales of this model decreased by 10%.

In second place was the Toyota Vios, a B-segment sedan, with sales of 769 units, a slight increase of 0.39%. The third position was held by the Toyota Veloz Cross, with sales increasing by 10.9% to 670 units.

The Toyota Corolla Cross, on the other hand, experienced a less successful month compared to May 2024, with sales decreasing by 33.6% to 661 units. With these results, the Corolla Cross was the fourth best-selling model for the Toyota brand last month.

The Toyota Innova Cross, a mid-sized MPV, posted positive growth with sales of 540 units, an increase of 17.1%. As a result, it secured the fifth position. The remaining Toyota models collectively achieved sales of 1,727 units.

Toyota Vietnam has not yet announced any new promotions for this month of July. Starting in August this year, a decree will take effect, reducing the registration fee for domestically produced and assembled cars by 50%. Toyota Vietnam’s locally assembled models, such as the Vios, Veloz Cross, Avanza Premio, Innova, and Fortuner, are expected to benefit from this decree.
