Toyota has introduced upgraded versions of the Toyota Hilux for the Vietnamese market. The Toyota Hilux 2024 will offer a total of three variants for Vietnamese customers to choose from, including the 2.4L 4×2 AT, 2.4L 4×4 MT, and 2.8L 4×4 AT Adventure.
The 2.4L 4×2 AT and 2.4L 4×4 MT variants feature a honeycomb-designed front bumper and modern fog lights, giving the mid-size pickup truck a more robust appearance.
On the other hand, the 2.8L 4×4 AT Adventure variant sports a black surround on the grille and a large silver skid plate. This version’s exterior closely resembles the previous 2.4L 4×2 AT variant of the Toyota Hilux in the Vietnamese market.

Inside the cabin, the 2.4L 4×2 AT and 2.4L 4×4 MT variants of the Toyota Hilux have been upgraded with a new infotainment system, featuring a 9-inch touchscreen display and smart phone connectivity.
Exclusively, the 2.8L 4×4 AT Adventure variant of the pickup truck is equipped with dual-zone climate control and an array of safety features, including six sensors, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
The Toyota Hilux 2024 continues to be imported from Thailand by the Japanese automaker. It is paired with either a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission and is powered by a Euro 5-compliant diesel engine.
With the Euro 5-compliant engine of the Hilux 2024, Toyota also recommends that customers use the correct type of fuel to avoid potential risks and inconveniences during their ownership experience.

The Toyota Hilux 2024 has a starting price of VND 668 million for the 2.4L 4×4 MT variant. The mid-size pickup’s 2.4L 4×2 AT variant starts at VND 706 million, while the top-of-the-line 2.8L 4×4 AT Adventure variant is priced at VND 999 million. All variants of the Toyota Hilux 2024 will be available in six exterior color options (Pearl White, Silver, Gray, Black, Red, and Blue) and will be available at Vietnamese dealerships from May 14th.
Currently, the pickup truck segment in Vietnam is dominated by the Ford Ranger. In the first four months of the year, the Ranger achieved a cumulative sales figure of 4,824 units, leading the pickup truck segment and becoming the best-selling model in the market.
The Mitsubishi Triton is currently the second best-selling pickup truck in Vietnam, with sales of 579 units since the beginning of the year. The Isuzu D-Max follows with 106 units sold during the same period, while the Mazda BT-50 managed to sell only 5 units before temporarily withdrawing from the Vietnamese market.
Prior to the introduction of the new variants, the Toyota Hilux was only available in the 2.4L 4×2 AT variant, priced at VND 852 million, and had been facing zero sales for several consecutive months in the Vietnamese market.
The current price range of VND 668-999 million for the Toyota Hilux 2024 is considered to be relatively competitive when compared to its rivals, including the Mitsubishi Triton (VND 650-905 million), Isuzu D-Max (VND 650-880 million), and the Ford Ranger, which offers a wider range of variants with prices starting from VND 665 million to VND 1,039 billion (excluding the Raptor variant).
